I didn't know they were putting these out with the Stickum. From a strictly superficial stand point, it looks interesting.

yea there were pics in the Bauer 2005 Catalogue. Its a real nice stick with the max stickum

The regular XX's are unchanged and still have grip on them. The max stick'um version of the XX has a much tackier grip than the regular ones.

Damn, when i heard the Vapors were gonna be gripless i was excited, cuz I loved my vapor, but hated the grip. Oh well, i'll settle for an SL i guess.

I don't know what catologue you saw them in, but they weren't in there when I checked. If I remember correctly, they were a new addition after the catologues were made, therefore they aren't in them.

Could be, and that would make some sense, as I think the one I have is one of the earlier models (the one where they just essentially sloped some goop over the fuse point and painted it a faint blue around the area - so, no stiffener like the Synnergy)
