I just did a search on getty for him too and in one pic he's using an ST and the curve looks very close to a Drury pattern. But then he's using an SL and the curve does look like a Sakic but a little more closed.

Kosy, this is a hockey forum. This is THE place to go to discuss everything hockey. If everyone went to google/yahoo/msn, there would be no need to use this site whatsoever.

I really don't understand why some people on here get nasty sometimes and insist on "searches". MSH is a search engine! A very valuable resource.

If you don't know an answer, or don't want to address stupid questions, and there are plenty, don't answer. But if someone is on here, and asks a question, then this site is serving its purpose as a "Forum".

Langer, I beleive he is the Captain of the London Knights in Ontario. I think they are OHL.

It's a pain in the ass to sift through topics which can be easily answered. Rather than having roughly 150 very active members sort through a post, search and the answer could be easily found on google or by using the forums search engine. You see certain people repeatedly (and sometimes admittedly) post easy question they are just too lazy to look up.

I'm fully aware of what this place is. The purpose of MSH isn't to answer ridiculous questions that could easily be answered in 3 seconds by typing "Danny Syvret" into Google. The point is, MSH is a place for people to discuss hockey equipment, ect., not a place for people to waste other people's time. I don't know if some people are stupid or if they're just lazy, but frankly they water down the forum by continually asking questions whose answers could be found else where. There is absolutely no reason why someone should post a question on here that is either A. already been anwered on here or elsewhere, or B. easily found by typing it into Google.

I understand both your points Kosy/EZ. I can imagine it must get annoying seeing the same stuff over and over again.

But...has Syvret come up in the posts before, or recently? The poor kid just wanted to know who he was.

And...when I think of hockey, I think of MSH. You guys (Mods) have done such a great job creating a place to find and discuss all things hockey, that I honestly don't even think about using google or yahoo. This is my place for hockey. Call me stupid I guess, but I like it here.

If the topic was something about "How do you cut a Synergy", well I've been a member long enough to know that everyone and their mother has posted that here. But Danny Syvret? Come on! He's not Wayne Gretzky, and it took me about 5 seconds to type my response for Langer. Yes, she (I think Langer is a girl, haha) could have used google, but she was on this site, participating in the forums. I didn't see the harm in helping her out. I considered it my good deed for the day.

I think as time goes on, non-repeatable topics will become scarce. Seriously. alot of the topics are regurgitated. But it's good to see new spins on things. This is a forum, we discuss things. If you want to limit its content, and say, ok guys no more 1 piece topics, no more graf topics, we will run out of topics! There is only so much to say about hockey. It's not some profound subject. New people have new things to say. Let's keep it going and enjoy. I think I speak for alot of people when I say that I really enjoy coming on here EVERYDAY, and discussing hockey things with people from all over the world!

I agree that if someone has a question they should be able to ask it here. However, when asking obvious and easily answered questions becomes a habit, myself and others get frustrated.

And if someone wants to talk about Graf skates to use your example, that is perfectly fine, no matter how much they've been discussed. However, the idea behind keeping all Graf topics in one or two threads is so that when someone has a question, when they search they can easily find their answer so that they won't have to ask the same question that has already been asked.

Haha sorry Langer! I don't know why I thought you were a chick. Maybe it's the whole "rocks my sox" thing. Sorry!

If I asked, "what skates does Steve Bagadonuts use", someone would ask who he is. I see nothing wrong with the question, especially since the person would want to know the relevance of Steve Bagadonuts to hockey equipment. It's not a well known name.

IMO, it's the original poster of this topic who is wasting time and space, who cares what someone uses, it really means nothing, does it? Especially since players are PAYED or sponsored to wear equipment, and equipment is such a personal; thing.
