mack 44 Report post Posted May 19, 2005 Me and what seemed like all of Nashville. I loved it; way better than what I expected and it's one dark son of a bitch like they said it'd be. First 30 mins are just a flash and it rarely lets up.
LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2005 I think it was playing on 16 of the 24 screens at the theater last night. So, there were just mobs of people. One guy was dressed up in a full storm trooper outfit that looked pretty damn real. This one might be right up there with Empire. I thought it was that good. mack 44 Report post Posted May 19, 2005 I would have to see it again when i'm not as amped to see it, but I may put it above it only because of the sheer action. I definitely have it right under Empire at least though and loved the Godfather-ish parts they had in it.As for people dressing up I saw a few Vaders that weren't realistic and one hot Slave Bikini Leia. A couple Padmes and odd Jedi, but the Leia's the one that sticks out.
ladystorm3 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2005 for some reason i really want to see it.i didnt like the last 1, but the 1st one was good.

Shorthanded67 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2005 I also rank Empire as tops in the saga but I'd say this comes in second. I wasn't too happy with Menace, Clones improved, but this one really tied together the loose ends and left me happy. The good VS evil theme really shines in this episode. mack 44 Report post Posted May 19, 2005 And seeing how it was realistic choices that lead Anakin into becoming Vader was a nice touch. It also twisted how I saw Vader in the last 3 movies because of his "together we will rule" plan.
Petey21 1 Report post Posted May 19, 2005 I'll go see this on Monday I think, Empire Strikes Back is my favorite of the original trilogy, but all of them are better than episode 1 and 2, so I hope this new one will be better than those two at least. But considering Darth Vader is in it, I'm sure it'll be good. :)

Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted May 19, 2005 Do you need to be a Star Wars guy to enjoy it? I didn't see the second episode, I know the basics behind everything, but I am not overly familiar with the details.
thunderbirds_are_go 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2005 Same question as Eazy - I've seen the original series (many times), but after absolutely hating Phantom Menace I decided to skip part 2. So do you need to have seen part 2, or does it stand up well on it's own?
RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted May 20, 2005 One of the guys that went to see it today was telling me that is it thumbs WAY up. He said easily the best of the prequals, and would be second only the Empire if you consider all 6.I have the entire scripts, and have read some of it. I've also read some great spoilers online....Apparantly he Murder of the Jedi (hopefully everyone knew that was coing) and the ending are quite dramatic, and the opening spaceship battle sequence is spectacular.I'm hoping to see it this weekend.Another thing....Does anyone have a link to the Triumph thing that is downloadable....that one opens right into the player... mack 44 Report post Posted May 20, 2005 Do you need to be a Star Wars guy to enjoy it? I didn't see the second episode, I know the basics behind everything, but I am not overly familiar with the details. A lot of the plot/backstory may not make sense and won't give the full effect of what happens, but the action alone is good enough to carry it for someone who's not familiar. saba 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2005 Huge Star Wars fan going against the flow. 4 or 5 out of 10. Choppy editing, no emotional depth, fuzzy transition for the hero's fall. Sorry but as my fiancee so eloquently put it: they took the fall of the hero, which has been a myth for eons, and hacked it up-I couldn't agree more.Does anybody else feel that GL rushes these movies through. I think this films editing was some of the worst I have ever seen
LegoDoom 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2005 If the lame Vader and Padme ending was all you have against this movie, I can't see how it's as low as a 4 out of 10. Vader whining was bad, but overall it was a great movie. No emotional depth? The whole movie was about emotion.
tml_bte89 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2005 freaking good. It was non-stop action. The ending was great. I saw it twice already
Fury of One 6 Report post Posted May 20, 2005 Easily the best of the prequels. Unbelieveable storyline that tied everything togetther. I did feel it was somewhat rushed but it definitely was awesome.
mack 44 Report post Posted May 20, 2005 Some of the stuff that was in the book I thought should have been kept in since it was taken from the screenplay. In the book you actually heard Qui-Gon talk and Vader had smartass dialogue when he took care of business on Mustafar.
