i have one of the hespeler gretzky offset blades. the curve looks amazing, but i've never got to try it out, since theres a crack down the hosel on mine, as it was handed to me from a friend

Yeah, I've seen them at Sportchek too.... years ago. I'm pretty sure it was made by Hespeler because I was looking for a replacement blade at the time. The Hespeler Gretzky curve IS different than the Easton Gretzky. That's why I remember it I guess.

mine looks like a modano/sakic hybrid...small heel like the modano, but a little opened as well like the sakic

i used teh hespler offset for 4 years until i got a synergy. i absolutly loved it!! i could really stickhandle well and it is the best blade for recieving passes. it did take some time to get used to but after i did it was great. for the curve, mine was practicly straight with a little toe curve that was slightly open only on the toe.

Keep in mind they haven't made those sticks or blades in years.

yeah, that's true...so they're probly pretty brittle on the ice. the same thing happened to me when i bought these bauer 5000 heatley wooden blades. they had been sitting in the store for a couple years...and only lasted me 1 month or so

well, i wouldn't say a month...i'd rotate blades a lot, so let's just say a dozen ice times or so

Before I switched to the Christian woodies, I never got more than 4 ice times out of a wood blade. Now, I get much better durability.

I've never broken a tapered TPS blade.

Mine turned to much after no more than 4 ice times. I rarely actually break blades, they just become too mushy for me.

Yeah, I was surprised with the durability of the Christian blades from my brother of his rough of his sticks(more than me,)(He breaks alot of sticks). I/he have'nt/hasn't tried TPS blades thought.

How did he like them?

JR:

Most pro stocks I used didn't hold up any longer than regular retail but they have had much better feel. I prefere the reduced weight of most pro wood blades so I have skipped going for the reinforced models.
