From the article "Easton Hockey today announced that it has agreed to a five-year strategic alliance with the University of Minnesota Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey programs. Under the partnership, Easton will serve as the official glove, stick, pant, and on-ice apparel supplier for the Golden Gophers’ ice hockey programs through the 2010 season."

Well, I'm betting that since thier deal with itech is over, either someone else will give them some new buckets, or they won't care what everyone wears. If itech does keep the deal for helmets, he could still be in a carbuster because it's part of itech. Remember that there are kids on BU who didn't like the RBK's and went back to thier CCM's after a couple of games.

I'm kind of curious, maybe someone knows...

How have the deals with Mission and now Easton been able to go through at Minnesota? Nike sponsors pretty much the entire athletic department, every other sport on campus is decked out head to toe in Nike. This is the case at Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State, Big Ten Universities with Nike sponsorships. Doesn't Nike have something to say on the matter (aka "We deck out your football team, the only thing that matters on campus, so whatever they do goes.)? I know the teams can purchase whatever sticks they like to use. But uniforms, gloves, pants, etc? Anyone?

Mission one is easy, I already said how.

As far as the other schools go, there isn't much equipment with Swooshes on it anymore. However, all of those schools wear Nike apparel, jerseys included.

Agreed, almost all were some variety of Synergy. Very few Mission sticks despite the Mission pants, gloves and jerseys.
