G Series Graf's

Recommended Posts

I skated on my v-12's again today, and the things are just totally dead, no responce at all in them. I did get my lightspeed replaced, but the skates are done anyways. While I was at the shop I tried on 8090's and flexlite 12's. Is there something wrong with me if my heel slides in the new flexlites, but haven't in my current v-12's?

Vapor D is too narrow, doesnt hurt or anythging but, I like how my synergy 04's are nice and roomy.Im guessing wide would suit my needs.

703/g3

I wouldn't say they would fit a semi-wide fore foot or toe box. Those are pretty narrow.

Its really a matter of trying them on, but i've found given how plyable the grafs are that they can accomodate varying forefoot widths. I have toothpick feet and the G3 fits perfect, so you may be right in that regard.

Chadd, what would you suggest?

Try on as many skates as possible and decide what fits best. Keep in mind, the way you describe your foot may not mean the same things to us that it does to you.

Ill def. try them on if I decide to ever buy grafs, but lets say my heel is even loose in a vapor D width, but my midfoot would fit into a vapor EE.

If I remember correctly, the Graf 735/G35 model is made for a narrow heel and a regular/wide forefoot.

That's what I was thinking, 703 heel 705 forefoot. If a Vapor "D" heel is too big, customs may be the best bet. You may want to try the new Mission L series heel, that sucker is pretty narrow too.

Its not too big,I like it, im just saying theres alittle room like 2mm on each side, nothing drastic ...also I want to get great white or royal blue backing G series, grafs...I think i like the sound of the 735s.Also Im not getting new skates untill at least summer 2006(unless my pro stock vapor 10's and Synergys dont fit me any more)

Does the 735/g35 also have alot of depth? As in 8090 depth?

the g35 on certain occasions is deeper then the 735 which im not sure why. the g35 is even deeper then a g5 but not as deep as a g9. the g9,8090 are the deepest boots i can think of since eastons are actually making there skates not as deep as usual

Thanks soga, is there anything that fits like an 8090 but with a narrower heel?

the g35 in a narrow width. to be honest forget about how your forefoot fits if you want a proper fitting skate get the tightest fitting heel and just stretch the forefoot since your forefoot really does nothing in your skate its all your heel

What about the Flexlight 12's? I was using them and they felt really deep.

Poor quality control would account for the variations.

What about toe flick? At the end of your stride you snapping your foot back to finish your stride, consequently the last portion of your stride puts most of your pressure on the forefoot.

As for G series I've only read people's impressions here til today. I saw some g5's in person today and the comp outsole was not completely attached to the boot.

I would've sent'em back.

I think we're all opinioned out when like 1 out 4 of your posts involves complaints on the G series....

Forgot to say, I tried on G9's and 709's this weekend. After reading some of the things I've read on G9's I tried to by the 709's but the guy selling me the skates was determined to get me to buy the G9's and said how much better the G9's were than the 709s...I just left and went to a different store and tried on some flex lites, nothing has felt good so far... Also, I know some people work at stores and I was just wondering how much you charge for a pair of new lightspeeds plus putting them on, thanks.
