Where will he go?

Recommended Posts

RBK Hockey is running a contest where you can guess what team Crosby will go, so I thought it might be an idea to say were you think he will go. This isn't a "who you WANT him to go", it's a where you THINK he will.

Anaheim.

Crosby would be sweet with the Flyers...but odds are small. For some reason, I keep seeing him in a Penguins jersey in my mind...

Yeah, 2 shifts a period with the Flyers would be great. Hitchcock playing mind games with him all season and benching him simply because he's young, that would be great for the NHL.

Pittsburgh would be even better. He could have Rico Fata and Matt Bradley as his wingers.

As much as I'd like to see him in a Devils' uniform, I'm going with the Thrashers - Savard, Crosby and Kovalchuk would be sick.

Dude, I'd rather see Kovalchuk-Crosby-Heatley. That would be a sick line.

Can someone catch me up on these Ewing remarks? I am assuming it was believed to be rigged, but more detail would be great!

The first lottery for the NBA occured in 1984, which I believe was held behind closed doors. The Knicks were floundering and received the franchise center.

Tongues started to wag.

The supposed conspiracy was that when David Stern reached for an envelope to reveal the name of the team picking #1, the Knicks envelope was frozen beforehand. When Stern reached in to pick an envelope, he felt for the cold on the envelope, which was the Knicks pick.

Columbus.

I know that Buf/NYR/Pit all have the same odds, but I'd hate to see him to any of those. In Columbus, he'd be on a young team that is already looking up, not an established franchise trying to re-build. I think there is a huge difference in mindset of the two.

My heart wants him in Mon (as I'm sure you already knew).

I thought they suspended the draft for this season? Did they start that again or something? Isn't there like some sort of weighted lottery, in that the 3 worst teams have like 30% higher chance to get the #1 pick? However, there is a small chance that any team could get him. I think TSN did a fake draft, and Toronto got him, even though Toronto was nowhere near the bottom. And like last season, the Pens should have gotten the #1 pick, but Washington the 2nd lowest team actually got it in Ovechkin.

It was suspended until the CBA was reached. All signs point to the CBA being done, so the lottery drawiing will be late this week. Every team starts with 3 balls. For every year you made the playoffs, one ball is taken away, then for every year you had the first overall pick a ball is taken away. Every team can keep at least 1 ball. Then you draw for your position.
