Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2005 First off, awesome thread..... seriously something different. :)Funniest....I found a Gay Porn mag in my bag once which one of my "fellow" Jnrs had slipped in as a joke. I made the joke funnier by taking out some of the pics and placing them inbetween the coach's plays on his clipboard. Halftime was interesting for all parties concerned! lol. Scariest....This happend to one of my Jnrs I coached. His CLEAN FREAK mum insisted he leave his gear in the the old shed at the back of their property always. He was halfway through the first period when he felt a sting in his ear and the left side of his head started to go red then purple. We thought he had his helmet on too tight but he started to go into shock. Needless to say the Ambulance was called and he was abruptly shipped away to the Hospital for assesment. At the next training the full story was devulged, it turns out a Redback Spider had crawled inside his helmet at some point and when he was wearing his helmet it switched homes from helmet to ear cavity. It bit him twice in the ear cavity and once on the ear drum itself. For those unfimiliar a Redback Spider is VERY deadly. They are only about 1cm big and a close reletive to the Black Widow spider. They can cause serious illness. Because of their small jaws many bites are ineffective but, the venom acts directly on the nerves, resulting in release and subsequent depletion of neurotransmitters. Im told it hurt ALLOT in otherwords!

badsk8ter 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2005 Just like Ktang, I found a little snake in my bag. My wife saw it earlier in our basement and when she heard me scream (I hate snakes), she calls downstairs to me and says "You must have found it?."
thunderhockey19 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2005 You guys have to hear this story, nothing like this is ever in my bag because i hang my stuff up every night in a room for our hockey stuff, but one of my teammates this spring, we were in the middle of the game and he kept complaining about something in his glove felt really disgusting, but still kept playing. a few shifts later he finally reaches in his glove and pulls out a dead mouse that was stuffed in one of the fingers. so he pulls it out and starts to gag, and nearly threw up on our bench, it was bad. after that game he wouldnt use his gloves anymore, he just went out and bought new ones, haha. but honestly how disgusting is that?
