Orange County CA... Mounting a Chassis

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a good place and name of a person I could have mount a roller chassis on an ice boot in Orange County? I've had Hockey Giant sharpen my ice skates before and I'll never go back there again. Other then them, I'm pretty new to the area so I don't know of any good shops or good people I could take my skates to.

Not sure how close this place is, but I know they mount chassis. I purchased one from them, and they'd even allow me to ship my skates to them to mount. (I live more northern in CA)

hockey outlet

And there's the Anaheim Hockey club. (again, don't know how far that is)

anaheim hockey club

Hope this helps.

what about Hockey Central? I think they are a smaller shop that does a lot of mounting etc..

Yea... I actually live only 10 minutes from them. Maybe I'll have them do it since they're probably better being a smaller shop.

Thanks for all the input everyone :)

The Pro shop at Anaheim Hockey is going out of business. I'm not sure if they are still doing chasis or not.

Just thought it would be worth mentioning that while skate sharpenings I have had done at hockey giant generally suck, they have an outside person come in to do chassis mounting's. I have had several done by them and they have all been top notch. Only downside is that it can sometimes take a while to get them back depending on when the guy comes in.

I'm on a team with a guy who works there, never seen the drills though. The store at AHC is having a going out of business sale, a lot of 20% off stuff including sticks. I got an Easton One for $80 and I like it better than my Stealth or SL which is broken. As for skate issues I have had better service at Hockey Monkey, they seem to know what they are doing more than Hockey Giant.

I'm told that Hawk (hockeymonkey.com) is moving into AHC to take over for the girls.

That would be cool.

is hawk moving from their old store or just opening up another one there?

I would assume opening a new one at AHC. I can't imagine they would give up their 15000 sft main store in Santa Ana.

I agree. A rink that busy needs a full service shop, for sure.

The store at East West Ice Palace is having a 25% off sale. More equipment than sticks but it's 25%, I couldn't walk out empty handed.
