Outside foot pain in skates

(Posting here since the roller section doesn't get as much attention)

I got CCM PF 8's back in January and have put in around 140 hours in them, but I still get pain on the outside bone of my right foot after skating in them for about 30 minutes. Is there some remedy besides Advil that I'm missing or do I just need to skate in them harder to break them in further?

You could have that part of the boot punched out a little.

Buy a bauer skate. Every person that has come into my shop that has had that problem with the ccm hurting the side of their foot (myself included) has ended up going with a bauer skate because it fits better along the sides.

Unless your talking about the 8090 I don't see how thats possible.

If anyone could compare the fits of Bauer to the Vector/PF series, I'd love to hear it.

Vapor - narrow, shallow, aka going to hurt you more in that region than your CCM's

8090 or 30-50 - deep and wide.

only skate on bauer......most of gear is bauer....suggested bauer
