Recommended Posts

Yeah, Ive heard the same thing! I was told that it will be a stealth helmet, made of carbon fibre posibly a one piece design!

Let's hope it doesn't have the same durability as their sticks.

Messier has always(entire career) used a WinnWell Helmet.

The model became the Cooper 2000(with changes) helmet when Canstar did some rebranding.

Hasek used the TPS carbon shell.

If you did a search you I'm sure you find a few Messier Helmet topics.

it wasn't about what Mess has used....they made some carbon shells for him as well, the point was that carbon in helmets isn't new..its been done and tried..(Mission, TPS) and I don't know if Easton will fare any better..

Its sure to have a protection rating of a 13 on the 1-10 scale

Nah, it's going to made of the clear stuff they put on the Ultralight shins. You know, the stuff that broke the first time you blocked a shot. I know a guy who got a broken leg thanks to them.

So Chadd, you mean to say this helmet isnt going to be the safest ?

I have ZERO knowledge of the helmet at all, other than it has been rumored to exist in some form for over a year. I was merely making light of one of their failures in the protective market and their style over substance history. If the helmet passes HECC and CSA certification tests, it will be safe.
