CIS = Canada Universities? I thought thats what it was. NCAA D1 is generally top level Tier II guys who didn't want to play in the OHL. CIS would be mostly junior kids from Canada, a fair bit of ex-OHLers who couldn't crack a Pro team. Overall, I think D1 is much better than CIS, but I still don't think its anywhere close to the level of CHL hockey, although it is on its way.

i actually think division 1 is beeter than some chl teams

and kovy, concordia, mcgill and universite de montreal are in the CIS, which is not even close to d1 US which is going to be a huge feeder to the show soon IMO, much more than now.

Considering the shorter amount of time that teams will own a players rights, I can easily see teams encouraging more of their draft picks to go to college for a few years.

we are still a growing program. I started the team 3 years ago. It is a great school, we just need a couple more good players and we will have a very solid team. We are only loosing one player off of this year's roster for next year. If you ever come down to visit just let me know and i can show you around.

i was gonna try out for the varsity team here, dalhousie, but i figured my chances would be better if i spent this year in the gym working on conditioning, and trying out next year. i don't think our varsity teams is that great either...they finished last or second last last year, and the top scorer, dominic noel, is off at those nhl camps for making the cut.

i dont think dal did that bad last year. i find the varsity games to be really good hockey, high tempo. Lee you should of tyred out for the semi-pro league that startuing up around here.

I don't disagree, but there are some other factors. Age and the fact you get to pick where you play make the difference. From a league stand-point, I think the CHL has more talent, but I don't expect it to be that way much longer.
