Best full shield on market---need help buying one

Which full shield was be the best to get? Keeping in mind scratching, fogging, etc. Thanks for the help. (Do not want an Oakley combo thing)

Itech Concept II. Keep it clean, spray it every ice time 1-2x (before, halfway through).

Oakley visor/cage combo... no other one gives you better vision. very good when needing to keep a eye on the puck while keeping your head up.

I prefer Itech because it seems to look better on my 4000. Is there a special care spray that you can buy at a LHS?

This may not be a spray, but buy a special wiping cloth. I bought an Itech one for my Oakley Aviator. Then it got stolen

The visibility is 10x better. Especially coming from a kid who has played with a cage for 8 years (I'm 13). When you go to your LHS just ask them about the visor sprays they offer. If possible, pick up the Itech blue spray. It's my favorite. Make sure you also get a bag for it, so when it is in your bag it can't get scratched up as easily.

I know that the helmet bags are primarily soft cloth; is there any home items such as soft tshirts, etc. that can be used in place of a bag?

I've used a pillow case in the past. I've switched back to a cage, but my son still uses a pillow case that works just as good as those helmet bags (which I had wasted my money on before).

i think oakley will tell you to use anything but cotton on your sheild

you can always use shampoo too. it cleans and its really cheap. and you get that good poo smell when you skate for the ladies

Concept II is the best, Ive had 2 of them. You dont even realize you have it on if you ceep it clear and clean. After a while they just seemed to get scratched up and I went to the Itech cage. Also, I just bought my spray at a local sporting goods store, sprayed it on both sides and wiped it in with a very soft towel.

The concept 2 deluxe has the scratch resistant film on it.

Also, I am starting to hate my cages, so, can anyone offer advise where to start. Is there anything I should consider besides the concept 2 deluxe or the oakley combo? What are the advantages of the concept vs. the oakley.

Yeah, concept II is the way to go if you keep it clean and if you don't throw your helmet everywhere in the room...
