Easton vs. oakley gloves

Recommended Posts

I am looking for gloves in the $60-$80 price range and have got it down to the Oaklye mace and the easton synergy line. There are a couple synergy gloves that caught my eye, the 550, 750 and 700. I will be using the gloves mostly for roller hockey so prtection isnt the biggest concern. I am looking for a light glove, thats has good durabiltiy. Which of the gloves listed above will be the best choice. Or are there any other gloves in my orice range I should consider?

Thanks,

Chris

At the price you can get the Oakley's now, I'd definetely go with them. They are super light and also pretty durable, from my experience anyways

i have never had synergy gloves but i had ultra lite pros which are like the synergy 700 and i also a have oakley maces and they blow the eastons right out of the water. defently go with the oakleys. i like them so much ill probably buy another pair or 2 beacause at that price there is no better.

i've the easton synergy 750, and my brother oakley mace. i've tried him gloves, but can't stand the loose fitting, i found mines more comfortable.

that are personal opinion, in any case.

don't know about durability, i've used them only for a month.

anyway, if you have the chance, try them on first. i was interested in maces first, but after tried them on, i switched on eastons. In any case, better the 750 instead of 550. wrist wrap is awesome!

Apples and Oranges.

Easton fits pretty tight judging by what I'm using currently, the 04 Easton Air which I picked up for $50. The only problem I had with the glove was the wrist wrap, but I modified that so its basically just an extension of the cuff now and it doesnt interfere with my EPs at all.

Oakley fit way too loose for my liking. Also, as big of a fan I am of Pirates, the skull thumb is pretty cheeseball.

The Vapor 15s in the link above are sweet. A great glove and pretty loose? as I recall.

no they are tight, i had them didnt like them because they were so tight.

Can i make another suggestion into the glove line ?

you should try the TPS HGT8's

they are suuper light, durable, they fit great (a looser glove but not too loose)

and the comfort is almost uncomparable

The type of glove is a personal preference issue. It depends on what type of fit you like whether it is a tight or a loose fit. Lots of great choices on the market so shop around. My advice is also look at Reebok, TPS, Bauer and Eagles. Lots of leeway here and all the brands offer their own unique features.

IMO the M1 are the best glove there and they are a great price! I've had my M1 for 2 seasons now great gloves, not overly loose but not as tight as the vapors either! Alot of pro's have been using the M1's if you go by what the pro's wear! Read the review section on the M1's, a great glove I am sure you will love!

Yes , the Mission M-1 could be a consideration as well. Like I said before lots of variety here, the final choice is yours.
