Wait time after blade change

Recommended Posts

as long as the heated area is not warm, your fine.

if your changing blades at the rink, the cold air of the rink should cool it down in minutes, if not, run it under cold water.

3 minutes, heck ive changed in between shifts

I did that too and sent my good ole´ Inno to Nirvana on the first touch. Are you sill using those 800g Easton Aluminum´s yglod? :D Just kidding.... You should be fine doing it in intermissions. Like Jimmy said 3 to 5 Minutes and in case you had to heat the shaft pretty much (due to thicker hosel/more glue/whatever) you should help with cold water or wait a little longer maybe.

Sometimes you don't have the luxury of waiting until intermission though. Then again I used tape and never worried about glue not settling.
