For CCM V110/115 fans.......

Recommended Posts

I just got my skates sharpened at my LHS, Zwickers in Bedford, MA, and they have a ton of Bruins pro stuff.

V110's Axelsson LH, curve similar to Shanny

V115's (with grip) Gonchar LH, mid toe somewhere around an Iggy/Recchi

V110's (I think) Bergeron RH, big mid curve

Koho OPS Axelsson LH, similar to Drury

1 fused Nylander V110 with a wood blade, no curve in my head close to his

Tac Nylander woodies

Raycroft and Eche goalie sticks (didn't really look at them)

Here comes the best part, the V110's and 115's were only $80 and the Tac's were only $15.

I don't know for sure if they'll ship but judging from the customer service that I've gotten there for the past 20 years I'd say they probably would. I don't have a phone number but you could find that easy enough on the web.

A family owned business with good service. That use to be where I went until Pure Hockey opened up in Danvers. Here's a link to Zwicker's:

Zwickers Rocks!!! they have been putting skates on me since I was 4....33 years. If anyone goes there ask to see the pics of Gary sharpening all the olympians skates at Olympics in '98. He did all the skates and equipment repairs for ALL the teams. Great pics with Jagr

Correction: It was Wayne who went over to the Olympics in '98.

Side note: Brendan, formerly of Zwickers, now has 2 shops, one in the Valley Forum and one just of Rte. 28 in Salem.

Those guys are still around? Nice.

I already have a Nylander CCM on hold and line on one of his Koho's.

Damn I miss real hockey shops like this one.

Skate 3 have anything good these days Chippa?

Not only still around but they moved the lawn mower/snow blower store and expanded the hockey shop into where that shop used to be.

Skate 3 doesn't really impress me much these days. I'll poke my head in now and then but I seldom walk out with anything. I did get my Muskoka gloves there but the only reason I went there was because I had a gift certificate.

It doesnt sound like Skate 3 gets stuff from the Bruins any more either. Damn all the great woodies I picked up for 6 bucks a pop is sick. The sicker thing was using game used Bourque sticks in my games. I can also remember seeing game used Messier Sher-woods and a Gretzky Titan 2020. All for 6 bucks. :o

your right it is Wayne - I see Brendan all the time up at TSR....I actually saw him at the chowder cup last night. Skate 3 lost a lot of space and Eddie is being more selective on what he brings in. I have had him order me stuff before and it worked out fine....DON'T LET HIS DAD DO YOUR SKATES THO......

I haven't had my skates done at Skate 3 in ages. These days I'll only get it done by the Wheelers at the Chelmsford Forum or at Zwickers.

I'll be down at the Chowder Cup tonight. We got screwed on the schedule for tonight's game, we play at 11.
