Kovy_Ribs_Fedo 3 Report post Posted October 16, 2005 ill post one later... I have seen the pics but I just want to know your thoughts on these gloves...
duckjob 1 Report post Posted October 16, 2005 Great glove. I have had mine for about three months now. Light, extremely flexible, decent protection. They are on the tight size as far as fit goes. Not as tight as the xxx, but not as loose as an eagle x70 for example. Nice glove for the price, I just wish it was available with the goat palms instead of the standard nash ones. twiztidwrista10 3 Report post Posted October 16, 2005 I ment post a review, but anyways. The fit is more on the tight side and loose. Think vapor xx/xxx fit. It wont be as loose as a Sande or Eagle but it wont be extremely tight and restrictive. The fingers are long enough for my long fingers so if you like me you shouldnt have trouble there. The cuff is very flexible. There is also the feature of being able to make the cuff longer or shorter, tighter or looser, thanks to the velcro cuff. The protection is great. As good or better than most of the top of the line gloves. There is plastic inserts throughout the whole glove. No real gaps in padding were you could take a slash. Theres nothing like a wrist wrap or anything so theres always the possibilty of catching a slash there. The durability seems ok but I cant really say because ive only used the gloves a couple times. Everything seems like it would hold up well. One thing youll notice is the breathability, the four holes in the backroll keep the glove very ventalated and cool. Also the glove is very light, up there with some of the lightest. Also the glove is very flexible and feels broken in from day one. If you got any other questions about the gloves Ill answer em for ya.
duckjob 1 Report post Posted October 16, 2005 One other nice feature that I don't think is listed on rbk's website, is that the gussets on the middle and ring finger and vented mesh, a little extra ventiliation.

duckjob 1 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Nice. Anyone know if the pittards palms on the 8k can be ordered from RBK? I love everything about the 6k, but the palms are starting to go to crap, and I would like the additional grip from the pittards palm.

I do think so, from what I've seen, Kovy has a 6k with the black palm(pittard palms). I'll go to my LHS to see if they can.

I bought them in Hockey Monkeys store, so I'm going to check with them too. They are a member of THG and have been able to special order stuff in the past, so hopefully they can get them for me. How long did your palm last? The palms are still definately in usuble condition after 3 months of useing them twice a week. My main reason for wanting the pittards palm is just for better grip. I also like that they are supposedly a little more durable, and should get crusty as quickly as the nash palms.
