Got my MIA Glove (pic and story)

Recommended Posts

Ok 1 st of all thx to Michel and Guillaume from MIA great service and you guys are top notch.I went there and Michel took 45 min of his time to explain to me the way they where done and took me around the shop.I saw a couple of nhler gloves been made (Yashin, fedorov,Hosa) just to name a few.I even saw the Kovalev RBK geting new pading and all since MIA has the contract for repairing the Habs equipment.

I saw the new customizer online too.Michel told me it would be "online" soon it looked very good.I even saw a nice colored palm piece (hehe Michel) that michel had just like 2 yard and it was not for sale, but after a couple of minute of discussion Michel saw that i wanted a piece of it and he proposed to me.."class act from his part"

Anyway enough talking here are the pics!

Time? It took 9 days (not counting weekends)

I was skepical at 1 st about then been ok right out of the bat....Coming from a XX i was happy to see the glove was not that bulk and it was almost has confy has my XX.

And the weight his better on the MIA then XX.Great compagny and most of all GREAT PPLS that take care of you even if your only a beer league player.

Considering the FTC regulations concerning use of the "Made in the USA" label, I can't imagine why calling the product "Made in America" is legal. I'm sure the lack of references to their facilities in Quebec is merely an oversight.

Sven the fit is good not as tight that in XX but you really feel confy right when you put them on the 1 st time and they are not stiff like if was leather they feel more like nylon. They really are lighter then my xx.Contact them like i said in the post they are really dedicated.

As far as the name goes,i find it stupid to argue on that.So many acronyme out there if it would have been PoW then i would have seen the bad taste.

And for the america thing,i do feel that america mean south, central and north.America doesnt mean its only the US.My 2 cents.

Now stay on the subject of quality and look of the glove since the last MIA subject got hijacked by 3 person about then name in a never ending spining wheel.

ps:Chadd trust me i understand your point of view.

I suppose if you want to get technical, yes, Canada is a part of North America, and therefore a part of "America." However, if you use, as most people do, the popular definition of "America," then "America," refers to the USA.

I assume that the folks at MIA realized that the majority of people interpreting their brand name would think of the USA, and thus wonder why they chose MIA as their name of choice...

Well this one goes out to the lhs workers.

how is the fit compared to jofa hg9700? i got these gloves at the moment and the fit is how i like it.

Also, a friend of mine has Vapor X gloves, is there a similar fit like a XX, so that i can build the picture in my mind.

The guy is obviously excited about his purchase (and rightfuly so by the way). He goes out of his way to explain the process, takes detailed pictures, and that's the best comments you could come up with? Man, talk about negative ;) Those are very nice looking gloves BTW Havok. You don't play for Victory Honda (AAAout of Michigan) do you? Same colors.

This is the first time in recorded history that French Canadians have claimed to be "Americans".

Sorry but I hate to see a company engaged in fraud get free advertising.

Believe it or not, a couple of years back in yet another rash of talks of Quebec seceding from Canada, there was actually discussion about Quebec maybe joining the U.S.
