Super feet (grey)

Recommended Posts

The Superfeet grey insole was developed with Bauer a number of years ago, thus ,it was specifically designed to work with the raised heel in a skate and the narrow heel area. It does fit in virtually all skate brands. Suerfeet also make a custom skate black.

IIRC didn't Bauer's used to come stock with Superfeet insoles (I'm thinking in the late '80s/early '90s). They certainly called their insoles "Superfeet" althouh I don't know if they were the same thing.

Just started using the grey Superfeet recently in both pairs of my skates. I've found I have better balance and on ice feel now. I was using Shock Doctors before but the difference is like night and day for me. Nothing against the Shock Doctors because they are very comfortable but the feel is definitely completely different. My left foot is slightly off center due to some ankle injuries from high school football and stepping sideways on a floor hockey stick while in school as well. I find the Superfeet make my left foot align properly which in turn gives me the better sense of balance. Because the heel area is a solid piece they seem to give me a better response when manoevering as well. I'm personally very satisfied with them and will continue using them in my future pairs of skates.

This is an interesting topic and some great timing. I work at an Outdoors equipment store that sales ski gear. I was cleaning out the junk room and stumbled across the Sidas machines and a bunch of ski/hockey insoles that were laying around, so I asked around and nobody knew anything about them. So I just had a play around and figured out how it all works. Kind of interesting stuff (especially the molding machine) but I tried the Conformable Sidas hockey insole but they seem to wide in the heels and don't fit well into my skates, but maybe I should trim them and give them another go?

I tried the gray superfeet last night in a new pair of Tour Code Carbon inlines. I noticed a big difference over the stock insoles that I've been using for the previous three weeks. I felt that my heel seemed more locked in place. I have some slight over-pronation in my feet. I never thought that insoles would make that big of a deal, but I got a good price on the superfeet and after reading some of the testimonials on here I thought I'd give them a shot. I'm really glad I did. These skates haven't been baked and I've just been wearing them around the house while watching tv, etc. The superfeet really seemed to add some more fit and feel to my skates. It may have been psychological, but it felt like I could actually feel more grip when making sharp cuts and stops. I would highly recommend these and will never go without them in another pair of skates.

Hey, if they're free and plentiful, trim away.

You wouldn't happen to be in Toronto, would you? :)

is it normal for my skates to hurt 10x more than they did before the first time I use superfeet? Do they break in and feel better or is that just a sign that I shouldn't be using them?

Hurting that much is BAD:I would advise returning them. Feeling a little discomfort or perceived instability is fine; major pain is not.

well if your having issues it may not be the correct size of Superfeet.

You have to fit the heel not the arch or length.

On a side note there are the new ones coming out soon they are Hockey specific and are yellow.

I beleive the release date is June/July.

I put Superfeet grays in my Mission Pure Fly's and absolutely loved them. I noticed a significant improvement in my skating & edge control after only a couple icetimes.

Wore out the Missions & put them in a pair of Vapor XXV's. No good. Took away too much depth from the boot & raised my heel to a spot where it absolutely killed me with pain. I can only wear those skates barefoot now.

Also picked up a pair of Pro stock Graf Supra G5's. Great with the stock footbed. Total loss of stability with the Superfeet.

If they worked in the Missions so well and didnt work in the others is it possible that the other skates didnt fit you properly?

You have 3 different skates all with different fit stories all different styles?

I thought the gray were hockey specific? What's different with the yellows that are coming out?

The Missions never really fit that well but by the time I put the Superfeet in them they were broken in (and down) to the point of perfect, or maybe they reshaped my feet to fit them, lol.

The Vapors I thought were great out of the box, a little snug in the toe box and just a little short in depth. After skating them for awhile they just arent working out. I thought I'd like a taller, stiffer boot but, no.....

Took a chance on the Graf's and love them. They skate great with the stock footbeds but the superfeet throws my balance & edge control off. The Graf's have double thickness felt tongues and I mounted the F-Pro holders from my Missions on them.

Anyone try the grey ones in a pair of CCM Vector 10 SE's? I apparently have arch problems so I replaced the stock inserts with the Superfeet greys and skated with them last night. After anout 10 minutes I had some pretty bad ache/pain in the heal and arch. My feet hurt for hours after I was done skating. I normally wear a 7.5/8.0 shoe and my skates are a 5.5 so I went with the D size. Is it too small or is the CCM just not a good skate for the Superfeet?

FYI...the stock inserts caused arch pain when walking around in the skates which is why I replaced them with the Superfeet.

What size superfeet did you get and what type of heel do you have? I bet you have a C in the skate but could use a D that would cause less problems!

Yellow is just a new Hockey Specific one with some changes to enhance the fit and more......to be honest i cant remember all the details the PK was 4 hours long. I will repost Monday!

Wider in the midfoot to accommodate wider skates - the grey was thin in some areas.

Plis its ventalated in the mid-sole and has the anti-stink stuff on it.

LOL cant spell anti-macrobiel or what ever it is.

I've done some searching and all I could find was this

http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...showtopic=38774

I'm just looking for confirmation on the sizing. The superfeet website says shoe size. Is this correct? Or does it go by skate size? (8.5R S15)

I would just go up a size espically if your heel is busting out on the size you have now. the heel is to fit into the heel cup!
