Helmet Combo

Im thinkin that the cage will definently be a jofa or an itech i2 i just wanna get some opinions on my choices.

i've only tried the bauer helmets, but out of those, the 8000 is by far the best, definately worth the extra coin. same as buying skates, it's important to buy the one that fits best.

I've got the 5000 and love it, but the new Mission bucket is looking good.

I'm either picking up a RBK 8K or an Itech hc 95/100 today. I've had the 8000 for a year and it just doesn't fit me right. It moves around on my head unless I make it smaller, but then it really hurts my head and I got a concussion last week and the helmet almost fell off(wasn't a big hit either).

is money an issue? If i didnt have a limit on cash, id be all over the rbk 8k. It feels amazing, i tried it at peranies, but if you want to stay on the lower end go with a bauer 4000 or nike 4000. I dont like the bauer 5000.

see unlike ATT i love my 5000 i used it for 2 years and still going however the foam pad in the front is harding all pp.

so what ever fits you the best, and you feel comfortable wearing it go for it ofcourse if money is a issue.

The 8K looks amazing with a chrome Jofa cage.Look in the Show it Off section for pics of mine.

whbd18 i couldnt find your pics....? i searched an all but couldnt find any.... ya i actually saw it with a chrome (which is what i have) and i liked it more than when i saw it with some black one

I found it but I couldn't get the pictures to work.  I would love to see that combo because either that combo or a Hefter Helmet (if it ever becomes certified) with a Jofa chrome cage will be my next helmet.

I recall them attemping to sell the helmet to CCM... I believe it was discussed in another thread.

DeI 18-Yeah, my coach is Denis Hefter and he said that he is in the process of selling the helmet to CCM. It will be the CCM Vector helmet. It is still supposed to be out this year, but who knows.

Well that makes 3 of us that have that combo. I switched a few times between my 8000 with i2 and 5000 with RBE III and now have settled down to mostly the 5000. I just like it better overall.

does anyone know of a good way to make your helmet tighter? i had a medium and with it adjusted as big as it goes it was too tight, now i bought a large and it wiggles like all heck. i think if i got bumped it would easily fall off. i was thinking about putting some extra padding in there maybe to make it smaller but dont know where to get some
