Record for skate falling apart!

Well, I just got back from Playing a good game and Started putting away my gear and noticed that my Vapor 30's with 5.5 HRS. are already falling apart. I hope it is just cosmetic. It's the gray stiching on the outside of the boot--It's ripped in 4 different spots. No cut marks or puck marks just broken stiching. Has anybody with any vapor skates had this problem and if so is it just cosmetic or should I just retire!

I am going to open up the "Land of Misfit Skates"

I just thought of something pretty funny. I can now tell people : I am so good I am busting my skates at the seems" :D

I Agree! but they were a gift so It was very bitter sweet! I have not heard anything good about vapors. But they feel great and perform very well.

I have to agree they are a good fiting and performing skate, but if you want a skate that lasts, they are not it. The VAP 10's on the other hand are sweet.

5 Guys on my team have the vapor 10. They rave about them and laugh at mine--So I have to keep this quiet :lol: I heard that bauer is working on the 30 as we speek. Vapor 40...50...60..I guess eventually they will get it right.

the thing is if it is an issue..you have a year...people get freaked out whenever new stuff starts to get wear...sneakers, skates, sticks...etc..

Im not being a dick! Just it supprised me. I need some work done on them, so JR will see them in a few hours. Called bauer warranty and they claimed it is cosmtic but they would exchange them. They said this is not common but will cause the skate to look pretty bad after a few months. and if the outer part of the skate falls apart the structural of the boot will follow. So will see. And I like when your equipment gets a seasoned look.

Surprise! Surprise! Another one for the, these Vapors aren't holding up file. Don't you guys get it. No Durability. Disposible skates. Go high end CCM, Graf, Mission even Easton but stay away from the Vapor trap.

I really like this skate but you guys are right. This is a gift so I am not paying big bucks for a skate to fall apart. The guys I know with this skate said they lasted around a year.I figure when this skate goes I can look into the one90's. By then they would be on the market for awhile and the hype and cost would be down. But I will say this If bauer can Improve the vapor 30 across the board I'll buy again and again!

His skates are fine. A little wear on the sides. Strictly cosmetic.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA thats not a record at all lol.

My first xxx's had the outsole peel away after one hour on the ice, and i think it was the third game ( so about a total of 4-5 hours on them) the outsole actually ripped from the edge of the boot across to the holder. So mine were done a little bit quicker then yours.
