When I watched the fight I couldn't understand how he was so cut up. Then in the replay they thought it was the elbow pad. No one mentioned the hand guard which obviously did the damage. That helps to explain the 5 minute major for attempt to injure. Great photo, thanks for posting it. It explains the whole deal for anyone who watched it last night. McC kept throwing them long after he was bleeding, too. Don Cherry will be leading with this hilite on Saturday night. "Hey, you kids at home!!! This is the way hockey used to be!!
