Any NWA or Public Enemy, quite possibly two of the best old school rap artists. Thrown in some Run DMC and I think you'll be set.

Personal Favs...

NWA...

Gangsta Gangsta

F*** the Police

Straight Outta Compton

Express Yourself

Public Enemy...

Welcome to the Terrordome

Shut 'Em Down

Bring the Noise

Don't Believe the hype

Fight the Power

Public Enemy No. 1

Run DMC...

My Adidas

It's Tricky

You Be Illin'

King of Rock

Sumthin' Like This

Down with the King

Hit it Run

It's Like That

try looking for music by Big L. he passed around 2000 but has two solid albums out (Lifestylez Ov Da Poor and Dangerous and The Big Picture). His voice is a little high like Eazy's, but he rhymes and flows alot like biggie. you should check him out, he's got alot of history with Big Pun, and Fat Joe in his early days (D.I.T.C. was their group name). To give you an idea, "Da Graveyard" on The Big Picture has the first ever Jay-Z verse released.

EDIT: for a taste of the future of rap, look for Papoose. He is the underground king right now, he released something like 8 mixtapes in 2005, he is ridiculous probably already secured a spot as a top 5 lyricist in rap right now. he is the next big thing. download "Papoose - Alphabetical Slaughter"

anyting 2pac

word, esp ghetto gospel

fort minor - remember the name (mike shinoda feat styles of beyond)

the roots - the notic

it really bothers me how they screw up the chorus. i think it goes..

This is 10 percent luck, 20 percent skill,

15 percent concentrated power of will,

5 percent pleasue, 50 percent pain

AND a hundred percent reason to remember the name.

If they spend the time working out the lyrics so it all adds up to 100, you'd think they would say THATS a hundred percent reason, but because they say and, your kind of wondering why they would write those lyrics.
