Considering that Primeau may not come back, Hatcher could wear the C for the next 2 and a half years.

I think this solidifies the fact that Primeau is pretty much done. Hes been out since the beginning of the year. Plus, Hatcher is a serious guy not someone you just throw the captaincy to. Also in that link it says Gagne and kapanen are assistant. I understand Gagne but not Kapanene so much.

Didn't they already try that with terrible results?

And I'm not so sure that Desjardins will be back this year either. If he does come back, I think there's a good chance he won't be that effective on the PP, which is where the team needs him the most.

Dejardins was the captain when they took the "C" from Lindros. Before the year was over Desjardins stepped down, I'm pretty sure that's when Primeau took over.
