Drake possibly going soon...

Latest rumours I've heard are

- Oil interested in Belfour

- Jokinen to Ottawa or Calgary

- Allison a possibility in Calgary

- Mogilny possibly a Leaf again (if they are in the play-offs and Allison misses his bonuses)

- Richards being shopped for a goalie, likely end up in MTL or Minny

Most are Leaf rumours and mean very little

They said before the year they wouldn't make the playoffs with the Pronger trade. They are going broke and clearing house to make a sale. Hoping to rebuild through the draft after a sale is made.

I think he'll be gone by the start of next year, but not before this seasons playoffs. They can acquire a goalie without giving him up, but I don't think they can keep him long term with St.Louis and Lecavalier (although I'd give Marty up). making the money they do.

richards coming to MN would be AWESOME. all things considered, it sounds pretty realistic as the wild have said they will dish one of their goalies (probably roli) and TB cant afford to re-sign richards with marty and vinnie. itd be nice.....

with jovo down, the canucks will be looking for a defenceman, but i don't think they'll bring in anybody noteworthy....

i second getting rid of "osbad" jimmy howard is better but unproven. the wings could afford to give up osgood seeing as they also have stephen liv in hte system. maybe they could get anderchuk to come out of retirement just to up the average age.

Tarnstrom was a name I heard, but that makes zero sense in alot of ways.

I think it's more of a "we want to be included in the rumours" type of thing that Eklund started for Leafs fans. EDM needs a goalie, we have a crappy goalie with a good reputation.

If they could dump Belfour's salary on another team, even it was just for a conditional pick, I'd go for it.

The leafs don't have a hope in hell for wining the cup so they might as well unload Eddie if possible

Yeah, it was rumoured before the final details were posted...mainly b/c we couldn't believe we'd actually trade Weight for Boulerice...oh and Zigomanis...and rights to a Swede...but then reality sunk in...why the heck would Carolina ever give up Ladd for Weight...not gonna happen.

i dont remember which one it said that they wanted to keep. i think they said they wanted to keep roli in the begining because hes younger, and could be a better role model for harding. but with the way manny has played recently... they might be re-consdering.

They need tendy more than anything. Bieksa and Baums have really stepped up and are playing pretty well. They have quite solid D without Jovo and I think could use a better goalie than Auld if they're going anywhere in the playoffs.
