They had a guy demonstrating the Nike Bauer skate just a minute ago on the today show about shoes and things the atheletes are wearing...Pretty cool. He pretty much said they are half the wieght of a normal skate, and they made them so evey part of the skate touches your foot, and the blades are longer to make it quicker. He also said you can get them this spring for $500-550

and considering many people have used Bauer and loved them. I have had no problems what so ever with any of the Bauer gear i have used. My XXX's are going very strong, used 3-5 times a week.

considering ive been going with bauer for 18 years, and havent pussed out or shit on bauer like you have, when they sent you 2 PAIRS of 8090s, id say they are a great company with the best quality around

I like KORs because of the fit and how responsive it is. I haven't played in One90's but it's just the hype of the One90 skate that drives me nuts! Yes, I know it's gonna be a good skate but it won't be as customizable and responsive as the KOR. Kinda like Sidney Crosby and AO really.

Plus, you're getting more from the price of the KORs than you would with the One90's.

How do you know that? Have you skated in them?

Just to let you know, this is my knowledge from what I know from the UK and here, so I wouldn't know what the majority of the new products feel like (apart from One90 gloves).

So no, I haven't skated in One90s so my judgement's purely based on what I've heard from others.

i posted this in another thread a two days or so ago

I went to see Carolina Hurricanes equipment manager Wally Tatomir so that he could sharpen and balance my skates, and I asked him how Erik Cole was liking the One90s that he has been wearing since december. Wally often consults skate companies, so his opinion is pretty solid, but at any rate, his body language said that it wasnt quite what they were expecting, and he said "They're a good skate, its still a bit buggy though." Then i asked him about wear issues since they were so thin and he said that they held up fine wear wise. He didnt really elaborate too much, but overall i got the impression that he felt they were an over rated skate.

With pro players, a lot of tweaking is involved to get their skates just right, so I would hold off until the retail version before you blast the skate.

With pro players, a lot of tweaking is involved to get their skates just right, so I would hold off until the retail version before you blast the skate.

not blasting it, just saying that some ones professional opinion said they were a bit buggy. I'd personally want to hear that before i drop 550 on new skates. It would make me hold off until i get reviews from those who bought the retail.
