Best agitator...

Recommended Posts

Darcy Tucker's gotta be somewhere on that list... I hated him when he played for TBay.. now that he's with the Leafs I love him..

Tikkanen might have been the best though.. he was a big time prick...

Currently Ville Niemenen is my favorite. He rarely does anything really dirty but he annoys the hell out of everyone on the other team.

Tucker. Personal bias aside, but when was the last time an agitator has led his team in goals? People don't give him enough credit for the other assets of his game.

Oh come on, where's the love for ulf samuelsson? ;)

I used to love watching Ulf play, sure just about everyone of his hits were borderline dirty, but he was one of the best agitators of all time.

How many Cups does Claude Lemieux have...4 or 5?

Mess has 5...and he's been called the Best Leader.

Roy has 4...Best Clutch Goalie.

Gretz...4...Best Ever.

Scotty Bowman...lots...Best Coach.

Teams that Claude is on win Cups....therefore...Best Agitator. Works for me.

I hate him for leading big #8´s career to an early end.

I have to go with Tikki as well. Though I was told by a former teammate of mine who was a back up goalie in the DEL at the time Tikkanen played here that he´s a real prick off the ice as well. When he entered the room in their first team meeting he gave all his cup rings to a trainer and told him to show them to the players before they would all ask him about them one by one and then left the meeting.

Very true.. the guy has definite talent.. in Kamloops he was awesome..

I know that this is off topic a bit.. but speaking of Tucker.. remember the hit during the last playoff's against Philly.. where he nearly killed Sami Kapanen.. I saw that on some video a few days ago.. OMG.. what a hit.. i must have rewound it 50 times..

Crosby :P Sometimes it seems like he is wearing a target out there, so he must be doing something to agitate his opponents.

Also, as previously stated, Matthew Barnaby is good at annoying his opponents and taking them off of there game.

Anyone who played the way he did was not an agitator but someone I count more on the lines of Bryan Marchment. Claude the fraud is in that category, as well.

Isn't Dan Hinote considered an agitator too? He's one of my favorite players, he was a huge fan favorite in Sweden last season.

You beat me to it. Wouldn't say I exactly like him though.

Also Olli Jokinen has his moments.

He was fun to watch in Hershey on his way up as well.
