Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion

This is the setup I have been running for the past 4 years.

I am switching the Red Star E Frame out for the Labeda Sensor and I will also be trying the Revision Variant Plus Wheels this go around. Right now the E Frames are off the boots, old T-Bolt holes have been epoxied, and mock up of new chassis is in progress. I have to pick up my freshly powder coated Sensor (Yes, I have 2 pairs of Sensors ) chassis this week. I will post pics when I get everything together, it should look pretty hot.

Those are already purdy bud Im sure they'll look even better after the upgrades.

I'll try to post my inline-to-ice conversion somewhat soon. They're: Mission Boss Black skates on Tuuk Ls2s.

Since the boots are ugly as sin I'm dying all the nylon black with Rit dye. They need a couple more layers, but they look better than when they were white. And thankfully I won't get chirped or hit by everyone, their dog, and their grandma.

Thanks Shark! I am blacking out the green accents on the skate and had that chassis powder coated all black. I almost had the chassis powder coated lime green, but figured it would be too obnoxious.

Ebondo that picture was from like a year or two into owning the skates, they are more beat up now. I used to skate twice a week, but have not played much in the past year since having my second kid. Looking to start skating regularly again this coming year!

Picked up my chassis from the powder coater yesterday and finshed up the install on the boots. Just waiting for my wheels and laces to come in, they should be here by the end of next week.

I am using stainless steel 8-32 pan, allen head screws, lock washers, and T-Nuts.

I threw on some outdoor wheels and took a few sprints down the street last night. They are super comfortable. Impatiently waiting until friday and saturday to actually play on them.

Thanks! Finally got to skate them this weekend. Great fit, feel perfect, except for a bit of lace bite. Otherwise fantastic skates.

Just bought a pair of Easton EQ50. IMO very similar fit to a Bauer Supreme(I have 175's). Going to throw on either a Vanguard Magnesium or Aluminum, can not decide if I want to invest the extra money.

Realistically, the weight difference between the two doesn't justify paying the extra money in my opinion. It would literally be impossible to notice the difference once everything is mounted.

Just my two cents.

On the Vanguard Alum Hi-Lo. What are the wheel sizes? 80-76 or 80-72?

It's not all about the weight difference though. It's about the rigidity. The aluminum will bend, while the magnesium will not.
