This stuff about blacking out logos during the Olympics can get kinda ridiculous, here's a photo I found in a newspaper. It's taken at the "media lounge" at the curling arena and shows a soy bottle and a ketchup bottle with blacked out logos... this is just too silly! :P

They're probably thinking if those companies find out that their products are being used in Turin/Torino, they'll be expecting some sort of payment or something.

I think it's the opposite, Turino wants the companys to pay for the publicity they have when showing em.

it's both. blacking out the logos probably makes it less likely for there to be any sort of legal issue at all
