What do the pros think of the shift 1?

Recommended Posts

I know this has probably been discussed before, but what kind of feedback has KOR gotten from players in the show that have tried them? Why don't any NHL players where them?

Iggy endorsed them, that is to say, he put in a good word for them, but I don't think he's using them right now. I forget what he is using right now either Easton Synergy's or a top end Bauer. Haven't seen any NHLer's with them but a few of the AHLers have tried them and I haven't seen much feedback on them. We'll just have to wait, only time will tell how KOR's work out.

next year you will see NHL'ers in the Shift 2. quite a few high profile players liked the skate and performance..but wanted it one eyelet higher ..

why does it matter... would that make the skate better. i wouldn't base quality of product on what pros think. in many cases, the product the pro's wear, are not the same as what is available on the store shelf.

try the skate... you said you have a demo pair. if you like the feel, the fit, and they work... they the are for you. whether they work for iginla, crosby, or average joe, isn't (and shouldn't) make a lick of difference whether they will work for you or not. read the posts about the skate from the members of the board... no offense to any members, be we are pretty much all average joes. the members can give you a better read on the product then what any pro thinks.

I followed the advice above and am very happy so far with the Shift 1's.

I was going to wait for the Shift 2's, but learned that the lower eyelet makes for a better forward stride, due to increase knee bend. I can already tell that it's a true statement.

As an aside, these are the most comfortable skates I've ever worn. No pain anywhere.

I have about 5 hours in them.
