Eagles39 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 I actually jus got my license like three weeks ago, and my parents bought me a car. They got a me 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My mom wanted to get me a smaller car but since I always have hockey or my surfboard I convinced her to get me a jeep. It was only $4600 with 83,000 miles. Any mods I have to pay for, so I put in a cd player.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 thats funny... a year ago, the V was all you could talk about. and now, a Maz... get real. and how old are you... ohhh, dont get me wrong, I love my V. But there are just some things I dont love. I have had countless problems with the rear diff, and wheel hop problems. The dealers have been great, but its just so inconvient. I also want a more luxurious car, and something with a little more sex appeal. Plus come on, Ferrari Engine :) Yeah, because those engines are known for their reliability. He'll find that out when he needs a 30k mile maintenance on a 4 year old car that's out of warranty. Then again, he probably won't care.

My uncle, who has more money than some banks, got his son a car for his 16th birthday. I wish I could've seen my cousins face when he opened the garage to see a VW Passat. And not that a Passat is a bad car, but with my uncle being able to afford quite a bit more than that and him being a car fanatic himself.... I'm sure my cousin was expecting a little more. Nigel 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 you'll be able to find something decent for 4 grand, consider yourself lucky for getting all of that from your parents.i'm looking at buying a 1989-1990 honda prelude or CRX. even though i'll only have my L, i may buy one this summer or just wait until a year from now. but i'm stoked on it. i already have 1500 in stocks and will earn around 2 grand in the next two months if i'm lucky. my budget right now is around 3000 CDN.. honda's are reliable as f*ck though and even their older models don't look out of date. good on gas too.preludecrxI want another CRX. Kristin says they're ugly and that she wouldn't let me get one. So much fun to drive... so i've heard. nice little pocket rocket.the prelude is supposed to be a blast as well.i can't wait. And yes I know about maitinence and reliability issues with Maserati cars. I will not buy the car without an extended Warranty. I have looked into Maseratis warentty program, and it is surprisingly pretty good. Most of the cars I have looked into do come with a lengthy warranty.
