Several things:

First, CHadd is the man and I have no qualm with anything he did. I have a hard time coming up with anything inappropriate.

Second, I can't wait for Jason to have the web site up. I'll do my part. I'll need to explain it to my wife later:-)

I don't mind Chadd being a mod and a rep, it really doesn't seem to different from anyone else on the site getting free equipment, whether it be a mod or regular member. Everyone develops their own Bias towards a particular brand, it's human nature. Not saying he is biased towards Salming, but his rep status won't effect how much I rely on his opinions. I don't believe his mod status gives him any more "worth" than other members, his knowledge and post count may, but not his title. No offense to certain Mods, but they aren't all equal in all of their areas, and alot of members know as much about certain equipment. Look at the faith people put into Justin and other well contributing Reps. Alot of members bought products on their word, I'm sure alot more members would be in Tour inlines if Justin wasn't assuring members this was Missions best line in years. If it's a quality product he believes in I don't mind Chadd supporting it. It's no different than Jimmy and D-Star discussing Bauer vs. CCM.

Chadd´s always been objective when it came to giving people advises. Never noticed any excessive tendency to Salming products from him recently so no one should really complain. Sorry to hear it didn´t work out for Jason, though.

Just want to put my 2 cents in.

Just not right for this to happen to a person that has paved the way for Salming to break into the US market.

I walk around many of the rinks in the Northeast and see many players with Salming sticks. Salming truly has some really nice products.

Jason's a man with integrity, fortitude, and spirit. He's not a cut-throat. I believe that the branding of Salming is synonymous with him and him only within the US over the past few years.

And I know that whatever endeavor he choses in the future, he will come out on top.

Joe

Jason:

I hope that things turn out well for you and your family.

This shows how cut-throat the hockey business can be, but if you love it...

Thanks guys. I really do appreciate it.

I have a big hole to crawl out of, in terms of both inventory and loan remaining, but I think I have a good plan. And I was kinda joking about leading to tranquility in the home life. My wife really is a wonderful person who has stood behind me with this -- as well as other more harebrained endeavors. I think she didn't become angry, so much as disappointed, because she knew we (the reps and I) had actually started to turn a profit at a fairly early stage in the business's life.

PS If you recall, Joe, I told you that joke about integrity while we were in Maine.

Integrity is the key to success.

When you can fake that, you've got it made..... B)

I wanted to tell the SalmingSports guys off but i wrote an email to them instead. I hope you don't mind.

"There is a distributor in the US that is doing an awesome job for you guys and you guys did him wrong. He is a man full of passion and spirit for your products and does very well. He is a respected poster on www.modsquadhockey.com and has made inroads for your salming products. I hope you can rectify the situation as best as possible as this man is the only person to break into the US market. I have watched your salming products grow in popularity and I hope you will not waste his valuable time and resources in promoting and building up your products. "

I don't know if this applies because I think its complicated and I don't know all the details. But I felt like writing something to them.

Do you have BORJE email address? ;)

There's also a pic of a kid wearing a pair of the pants inside. I belive they are both older models from several years ago. One of the guys on my team has the skates from back then.

I just ordered a pair of gloves over the phone. I talked to Jason himself. It could not have been an easier or more pleasant transaction. Take a look at the main Salming site and then call Jason and order exactly what you want/need. "No time like the present".

Anything going up soon ?

I was working on new pages last week, but I don't know if you saw the thread in Misc on the possible computer virus I have? It really made working on the site a real pain.

I'll see if I can get it to work this afternoon, but I already promised gman I'd get his gloves out, so those come first.... :D
