MissConduct

My problems. :(

Recommended Posts

Okay.. I need some good advice..

I used a Easton SL Forsberg 85flex and had the BEST slapshot I have EVER had in my life, but as we all know SL's aren't durable AT ALL, and I can't afford to buy them every 3 weeks. I am now using a Warrior Starskie Federov 85Flex and it's too stiff :( I can get a slapshot off but not as well as the SL. Is there a stick that's as good as the SL in flex and feel BUT durable?!?!?!

I finally found a women's league that allows slapshots and I'm a defencemen so I heavily rely on that good slapshot I USED to have *cries*

Any suggestions? Should I try an Intermediate stick?!?!

I'm 5'8 around 165lbs

any ideas to help me out

I used to be a Inno guy and used the Fedorov pattern too. I like whip flexes and used the 300 in the Inno. I switched to TPS and use a Whip flex. Very similar to the Inno 300. BTW- It would be a Tkachuk pattern for the TPS. Good luck.

If you like Warrior's feel, you could get a Dolomite 75 shaft and a Fedorov blade, or a 75 MacDaddy. That's what I'm thinking of doing because I like a lot of whip for wrist shots. Too bad you've already got the stiffer Starskie you can't really use well though.

Ever consider an Easton UltraLight 85 flex shaft? Or maybe a Bubble if you want a little more pop on your shot?

i wouldn't go with the z-bubble if i were you... it has a nice shot but it's like a toothpick

I weigh 225 and do more chopping in the corners and along the board than a lumberjack on speed, adn so far my bubble has held up well (knock on wood). One corner is even rounded off from a skate running about two feet down it's edge.

Since SLs (or Stealths, I don't remember. Please correct me if I am wrong) are very flexy, i would go for something with 75-80 flex. Maybe like a TPS whip flex, a Warrior Mac Daddy 75 or 85, or a Dolomite OPS/Dolomite shaft with 85 flex. Of course try to find somewhere to get a feel for the flex (if it's at a LHS, at least buy it :P)

I think the Mission Hull is being replaced by the Leopold 2, and it is similar to Iginla (at least the Pattern DB says so). As for a Easton Forsberg clone, according to the Pattern DB, my guess would be the Gaborik/Elias curve.

The flex chart has been very accurate from what I've found. Upper right corner if you don't know where to find it.

I know where it is, thanks. I judge it from an old Hull ZBubble/ UL I had that was supposed to be a 80flex.

The TPS - CCM stick will be in between the flex you want--- I am a big 85 flex guy and i found the regular to be to stiff and the whip to be to whippy. Instead if easton - the only company i found to be similar to easton was mission. I am currently using a mission m1 and find the 85 flex to be perfect-- almost like an 83 flex -- great flex-- also i always liked the m1 better then synergys -- like the soft feel of the blade -- great release on your shot- good balance. I dont know about the mission hex1 - i remember reading that the hex 1 seemed sligtly stiffer then the m1 -- i dont know but i will be able to tell you if its true next week as i have one in the mail as we speak :)
