custom synergys

Recommended Posts

I know for sure that the min. order for any custom synergy is 30. Pro price is $160 cnd. a stick I believe. It's possible that they'll do it for anyone, you just have to contact an easton rep, but cost will be at retail. So you're looking at paying around $4500 usd for reg. synergys and $5400 for si-cores if I'm not mistaken on the numbers.

Just wait till the stick companies invent a technology where you can make your own curve, stick the thing in your oven and voila!, your very own custom composite!

It'll happen one day...you just watch...ha.

I thought it was something along the lines of $10,000 for the mold and then your paying for sticks and the min order is 30 like you said. Also they weren't available to the public this was just "theoretically" and as for now they are not avaible to non-pro's.

I'm sure Rhino can elaborate on this but I don't think it's feasible for Easton to make a mold for anyone, especially for a price that "low." It'd be nice if at best Easton could offer you a stock pattern--pro or retail--and slap your name on them. I'm sure that'd happen before anyone got their own mold. Easton's not as open to custom gear as other major companies.

People have been succesful modifying their curves with a blade curver, maybe try that to get a custom curve but other then that there is no other way, unless you befriend the kid of an NHLer and have the NHLer ask easton for that specific curve then your all set, and the NHLer doenst have to pay a cent, the GMs do.

i'm pretty sure branches went out of buisness but here is a link to the stick being sold... http://www.1800faceoff.com/prod_selected.i...n=227&shop_id=1

"Bullet-proof nylon and carbon form an extremely strong and virtually indestructible blade" i find that funny because i had one of those and u could put the heat gun on it for about 2 mins and u could ben the blade whatever way u want...

Easton doesn't use the same molds anymore. At that time, only a handful of NHLers were using their own synergys. Now, any pro gets them for the price and min. order I said. I'm sure most people can get it done for retail if they talk to the rep. If I had the cash to blow on it I could place an order today.

Those Branches sticks were absolute garbage. Not much more than a glorified roller hockey abs blade. The blade would flex on a hard shot and you couldn't control a shot.

As for the minimum order on Synergys, one could assume that if you are going to buy 30, you might buy another 30 later.

I wonder what they'd price for just Z Carb blades. I'm trying to get another batch going and wish some company would make getting composites easier.

We actually do not make custom patterns for the public....doesn't matter the minimum so I'm not sure where you got your information. If any such thing was offered, it was probably out of a personal favor. Wood possibly I've heard on the very rare occasion, but no SyNergys or composites.

The cost and time to duplicate the patterns, to tool the machines, make the molds, etc. etc....

Ryan:

Is it feasible that easton might open their catalog of curves already made so that people could order those at a min. order thus avoiding having to make new moulds, then slap the customers name on it?

- or is there an element of confidentiality just in case a player is naughty and has ordered an illegal curve(i.e. might give opposition an advantage)

Secondly, do you have your own curve or get to pick your fave pro pattern?

Wasn't there an article in some hockey magazine some years ago (don't remember which one) where a journalist visited the Easton factory to make a story about composite sticks, and they made him his very own stick (I think it was a Synergy) and even put his name on it? Not sure if they made a custom curve though or just took any curve, but still.

I've been hoping for that for a while now. Hopefully someone with their own factory will roll out a program like you described, even if the patterns are just numbered and not named for their owners.

That's the easiest thing to do and I'm guessing that's what the majority of the players have. Seems to me there are about 5 patterns that a lot of people share.
