Unless the system really makes some leaps in the proper direction, it's not real likely that it will sell extremely well. Nintendo's market share in the console industry has been steadily declining for many years now. Unless they can come out with something that really makes people take notice (aka an antigamecube) they'll simply continue to dwindle away.

LOL. I actually am interested in the unit. Why should I not say anything if I dont like it? Is being a critic bad? And the reason its going to be much cheaper than the ps3 and xbox circle is because the system has what a 133 mhz p3 processor and 16 mb of sd ram?

Nintendo is second worldwide in sales, Microsoft has not been able to gain a big foothold in the asian markets. In addition to the new games, you can play old, extremely hard to find games, like the old Dragon Warriors and Final Fantasy's, which people routinely spend a lot of coin on when they can find them. As far as the customization, it's leaps and bounds beyond any other controller out there, as it will have too many damned attachments to make it into any type of controller you need it to be. I'm sorry Apple hasn't made anything to appease you yet, but the Nintendo will sell for all of the ability it will have on top of costing 200-300 less than the other systems.

clearly if you own an Apple you're not a gamer. Why you started this bash on the Nintendo system is beyond me, but please don't get all butt-hurt when your rantings about it get refuted. Bottom line is, X-Box has no market outside of the US compared to Sony and Nintendo. Nintendo will continue to sell, and you're ragging on it before it even hits shelves. the Nintendo will not compete neck in neck with Sony or X-Box, but it will sell well because it will be significantly cheaper and a good system none-the-less.

I am sure the name Wii has a double meaning in another language, probably Japanese (for obvious reasons). Personally I don't think it is a stupid name - just as good as any other. I don't know much about it but I can only assume Nintendo did one of the most intelligent things they possibly could have - made all their backwards compatible games mutiplayer on the internet, meaning you can play your friends ANY 2 player or more Nintendo game. The NES emulators already do it, so why not Wii? The ability to play all the old games is enough of a draw, imho, but being able to play multiplayer online increases their fun factor exponentially. I purchased two PSP's after the emus came out simply because I could play all the old games in a portable. Kicks Gameboy/advanced/ds's ass!

I was just reading an article on it and for shooting games a such, however you rotate your hand is what angle the gun is at. You also use the controller for everything, such as sword fights. Prett sick if you ask me. Im gonna get all the old hockey games for it too. itll be sick! LOL and hopefully with the old super mario 3 youll be able to save it or something (Cause i used to have to leave it on or i would have to start over)

Blades of Steel baby, and you dont have to blow in it!!! Yeah, it sucked when somebody would trip over the controller wire, and the nes would move SLIGHTLY, and you lost your entire game. You had like 6 flutes you were saving too...
