Help with Jobs

Im looking for a job to start this summer and carry over into the school year next year. I cant get a job because Im to young for most places. Nor do I have a car, so the Job has to be close by.

Ive already applied to small places like TJ Maxx, and Petco and Dicks.

I also applied to my school disctrict to work for them over the summer like clean lockers and move desks.

What I wana know is what some job oppurtunitys for a young teen would be, or what some of you already do that are in my same boat. Any help apprecitated.

I've been a summer camp counselor the past two years at a local summer camp. 1.5k for 5 weeks of a half days work, and all I do is play with 8 year olds. Best job ever.

I work at my local Roller Hockey rink as a floor guard for private skating party’s and do maintenance around the rink.

How old are you exactly? I used to work for Winners Merchants Ltd. which is now owned by TJ Maxx. Unless you are 16+ years old, they will not hire you because you are not bondable.

McDonald's hires 15 year olds, or at least they do here. I worked there for a bit too, it's not glamorous but you have to start somewhere right?

Great job, I do the same thing. Try out a paper run if you have one, maybe a resturant near you bussing tables. Any job that gets tips is good.

Golf Courses! Caddys are always needed and they get to work when ever they want. It gets your legs in great shape too. Walking 4hrs every other day is pretty easy. You'll find out that there are a lot of hockey players that golf too.

might sound stupid but referee during the season.

i dont a tournament that past weekend and got my food paid for my travvelling paid for plus $320.

working 9-5 for two days i still cant believe im RRRIIIIIIIIICCCHHHHH

im going to try and get a job aswell, how about workin a kids camp etc like what MAKA said.

Working at a summer camp is a good summer job. Not a difficult job and pays pretty well. If your not 16 yet and looking for a job you can carry over into the school year, check out a grocery store. You won't get paid all that much, but you can make some extra money on tips.

Anyways, I worked for my school for two summers. Made decent money, got to work everyday, one other plus is any teachers you see there over the summer and can be nice and cordial to may or may not remember you during the following school year if you have them they know you and might be easy on ya and stuff. A couple of mine were cool like that.

Tips at a Grocery store? I never seen nobody tip the checkout clerk.

Not for the clerk, for the sacker. If you take people's grocery's out to their ar, you can usually get a tip. The key is to work at the right store. At a slightly more upscale store in a wealthy area, you can get enough tips to make up for the low pay you get from the store. Not the greatest job, but unless your 16, you choices are pretty much McDonalds or a grocery store (at least where I live). I would suggest mowing yards, but it seem that everybody has a lawn service these days.

I worked at a brickyard last year and have to work there again this summer, asked at my co-op but they just had cutbacks in the office and you have to be 18 to work in the plant.

If you want an easy job but don't care about money work in fast food, physical labour is where it is at if you want hours and big money though. You get out of it what you put in however, I didn't go from 7-5 like I could have but I ended up with like $2200 over 8 weeks of summer with a half dozen days off.

If you live in an area with a lot of lakes try working at a resort. I live in a resort community and resorts are awesome to work at. You only have to work like once a week cleaning cabins and you get paid a lot...plus you get to meet all the hotties that come up to the lake for the summer B)

My dad has his own little landscaping business, so I take some of his extra lawns in the close vicinity to where I live. Last pay-90 bucks for about 4 hours. So it pays. And no taxes being taken out. Lawn cutting is probably the easiest way to make some quick money. Sure it's not the most entertaining thing, but it puts money in your pocket.

Get off your lazy ass' and get to cutting lawns. I am not even 16 yet and do about 4 houses a week for the past year with lawns, $25 bucks and they're small yards. Plus, if you do a good job, in the winter time you do their sidewalks and stuff.
