Mission Hex 1

So after using my Mission M1 for 16 months i decided to finally upgrade to a hex-1. I have been a huge mission fan after buying this stick (M1) and joining this website-- i have been responsible for a few of my friends buying m1's and mission products over the years. I recieved the stick last week and after my first game was slightly unimpressed -- what worried me was the blade felt soft -- and brittle ---and like it was gonna snap. Anyways game went out without a hitch. Tonght after only about 1-1 1/2 hours of use i wind up to take a shot as i hit the ice i hear a crack -- i go to the bench i look at blade theres a freaking crack in it !!!! This is incredible - i have been using ops since 2002 and have never broke a blade or stick-- to have it break on me 1-2 hours in is an absolute joke. Terrible product -- i have heard people complain about the hex 1 and feel like i am gonna start moving away from buying mission products in the future.

you know it could possibly be just a maunfacturer defect.. 1-2 hours sounds a little farfetched, that is unless you like smash err against the boards. Which I am sure you dont. Just send it back and get a replacement, hopefully that one will last longer

Do you have a reciept of any kind? Buying online doesn't void the warranty as far as I know.

Same thing happened to my hex. Stopped using it after 5 icetimes and it's just sitting in my room. Terrible stick, that said it was at my LHS for $130 cdn....$90 less than the hockey shop, so I guess it may have been a second. However I wouldn't move away from all mission products, my L-7 gloves are pretty amazing, and I'm pretty impressed with the Fuels, but I need to get more ice time in them to judge.

Funny thing is it felt wierd the from first time i used it -- almost felt like it flexed when i shot -- sort of like the way a shaft flexs-- thought maybe its the " HEXCORE BLADE"-- some new science-- guess not :P

That is weird. Even though my Hex-1 blade has a bunch of cracks and a pretty big chip taken out of the toe, it is still just as stiff as when I bought it. I haven't used it in forever though...not really impressed with the performance.
