SyracuseBulldogs04 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 I own the 9k skates and I'm just wondering on how many times you can pump the pump until the air blader would be to over inflated, where you could effect the durability of the skate?
Dupes 1 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 unless you have very very tiny ankles, theres no way youll blow those by pumping them ;)
BK 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 unless you have very very tiny ankles, theres no way youll blow those by pumping them ;) But I dare you to try..If you are wearing a skate where you have to pump it more than 10 times, then you have the wrong size skate... But by all means, pump all you want.. I remember popping my old reeboks in 4th grade... it was a hoot. Imagine the fun you could have popping your $400 skates!!! Pats 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 When someone on my team first got them we pumped them until both sides touched and nothing happened. Trust me this happened numerous times. I wouldn't worry about it.

Larry54 243 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 What happens if a pump breaks or if a leak occurs... can it be repaired or do you need to replace the whole skate?

jimmy 194 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 What happens if a pump breaks or if a leak occurs... can it be repaired or do you need to replace the whole skate? They are repairable, however it is unlikely they will need it. If the skates are molded properly, I think the chance of the bag failing are slim. This is one skate I would never buy on ebay, who knows what was done to it.
duch 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 You sound like a guy with a new car and your itching to take it out somewhere into the country to see just how fast it will go. You like to take things to the limit to see just how it'll hold up.
pantherfan 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 I know a guy who has the 5k's and they leaked all the air out in a couple of minutes, maybe its because its a lower end skate but he doesnt bother pumping them anymore
