Favorite Player/Team

Would have made a poll, but I would never fit everyone's favorite players on one poll. Anyway, who is your favorite team and favorite player?

I know, you all would have never guessed, I am in love with my Flyers. Joni Pitkanen has really impressed me. He reminds me of Orr skating the pick up.

Joni reminds me a lot more of Janne Niinima than Bobby Orr. Only current defenseman that resembles Orr today is Leetch.

It's hard for me to pick a single player to call my favorite, though Sundin has impressed me a lot over the last few years.

Toronto Maple Leafs for life B) . My favorite player would have to be Lemieux when he plays, and Naslund, good combo of skill and class. :)

The lowly Rangers....Lindros , Leetch, Fleury, sakic, ortmayer and Tyutin. The NHL has a lot of classy players (some not in my list, haha), so I really respect and like too many to list.

I like Detroit, I don't exactly want them to win the cup, but they're my favorite team. My favorite player of all time was Sergei Makarov. Right now I like Fedorov and Datsyuk...oh and Stevens.

i've been a penguins fan for forever. even though it really sucks where they are now, they do show signs of promise. lemiuex, jagr, and linden were my favorite players growing up. kovalchuk and the thrashers are a very close second now a days.

Rangers fan unfortunately. Players I really enjoy watching would be Brian Leetch, Mike York, Ricci, the Barnaby of the last two seasons, Shane Doan, and last but not least Brian Leetch again.

Same here, I was born in Pittsburgh back when they were decent. My favorite player used to be Jagr but hes just a baby anymore. I'd say now my favorite player would be thornton, but I guess he's kind of a baby too(that whole retiring deal)?

Rangers fan here, being from CT. Favorite player has been John Madden for a while though, I just really like his playing style. Always liked Satan and Kapanen growing up too, God only knows why. I follow college hockey a lot more closely than I follow the NHL though.

I've been a Flyer fan for a long time, although I have no problem rooting for the home town Penguins when they aren't playing Philly. My all time favorite players were probably Rick Tocchet and Cam Neely. Now a days I don't really have a "favorite player" but do like Roenick, Bertuzzi, and Barnaby.

Just kidding. Rangers and Mike Richter favorite all time. Brian Leetch is probably my favorite now, just wish I had center ice to follow him and curse out Leafs fans for booing him when they do. Others after Leetch...Messier when you take a step back to think of his career, St. Louis (because he's electrifying), Kovalchuk and Heatley (only because they showing their stuff when they play the Rags). Lindros is up there too, he made hockey great to watch for a few months at a time and so is Fleury for being insane. Too bad both have their own problems that keep em from playing. Oh who am I kidding, we all know that the only good part about being a Rangers fan is Sam and JD.

The Lindros and Neely comments reminded me of the John Buccigross article this week where someone pointed out that Eric had better numbers than Cam. They're very close in a lot of stats, check it out on the ESPN site if you get a chance.

My favorite team is of course the avalanche. My fav players, are forsberg,sakic,hejduk,heatley,kovalchuk, and hossa.

My favorite team is the Senators: a fast and skilled team with a good sense of picking and developing young talent. Hard to pick favorites for players, though Hossa the past couple seasons has played some very good hockey for the Sens. He's consistent, determined and scores.
