Nick Foligno, Ottawa's first-round pick in the 2006 entry draft, lived in Hershey while his dad was coaching the Hershey Bears; the family later moved to Sudbury when Mike began coaching the Sudbury Wolves and Nick was playing on the team. Real nice kid, played pickup hockey with him a few times.

I played with him a bunch when he was here in Buffalo. He was always one of the nicest kids in the dressing room. His father was a good guy, too. I've also played on teams with Kevin Quick (Philly draft pick), Pat Kane (NTDP/OHL London Knights) and a bunch of other guys who are making their ways through the Major Junior or NCAA ranks.

Well here in good old Prince Edward Island we have Brad Richards. Back in the day there used to be more like Ricky Vaive and my dad (well he played for the New York Islanders farm team in the 1980's) and he is now a scout for the Peterborough Petes. My brother plays for the Seguin Bruins in the OPJHL probably going to Division I college hockey next year maybe Division III.

Markham Ontario (just outside TO) Steve Thomas and Adam Oates are both from around here. Dan Daoust is my ex camp instructor. I also live about a 2 minute walk from Jillian Apps' house. Her and my sister went to school together.

Weymouth, Massachusetts is responsible for former Vezina/Calder trophy winner Jim Carey, as well as former US Olympian, and NHL'er Tim Sweeney...

My little brother was good friends with his nephew, I was the only lefty (like Tim) in the neighborhood, so I got the hook up on the sweet pro stock Sherwoods. He got some neat stuff from his stint with the Rangers... some Gretzky gloves, some stuff from Ray Bourque during his stay in Boston.

I'm from South Windsor Connecticut and the only 2 big time players are Chris Clark (Washington Capitals) and Jon DiSalvatore (Peoria AHL) Coolest thing is I used to play street hockey with DiSalvatore because he lived up the street, and I also have golfed with him. And Chris Clarks parents and my step moms parents are best buddies.

Kane is NASTY.

Ive played with Tim Kennedy, who i believe is a Sabres prospect, and is tearing it up for Michigan State. I used to skate with Quick, when he skated with my Junior team during the Summer. I played against Kaleta during states. I also played with Robbie Schremp on a few summer teams, even tho he isnt really from the area, but close.

Not exactly my hometown, but about 15 minutes away from me...

Joe Pavelski (San Jose Sharks) - Plover, WI

Great player, watched him dominate high school growing up, watched him dominate the WCHA on the Badgers, and currently watching him dominate the NHL as a rookie, scoring 7 goals in his first 10 games. Granted, he's no Ovechkin, but for a 7th round pick, he's doing damn good.
