Quintin 16 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Dude, I remember you posted a link that explained how to dye lacrosse heads in different ways. Could you post that link again cos I forgot what topic it's on and I've searched but can't find it.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Nice work, those Lacrosse heads look amazing. You should think of offering this as a customizing service and open a small buisiness for yourself. How much are you charging to do this for people? (the skate holders that is) here is my breakdown...initial set up charge- $10+1 color- $5+glue splatter- $5+ darker color charge- $5______________$20 for that jobif you wanted to get a russia fade like alex ovechkin in the olympics...initial set up charge- $10+1 color (white)- $0+1 color (red)- $5+1 color (blue)- $5+labor charges- $5+ darker color charge- $5______________$30 for that job-------------------------------------basically there is a 10 dollar set up charge, then each color is 5 bucks after that. this is based on most colors, but brown, black, forest green and red all need darker dye...so there is a (darker color) fee as well. glue is extra and gives a splatter effect, you can do stickers all over (like i have in my webshots) or fades which look hot. i'm open for business ...if anyone is interested Start charging more, you're not going to have time to do all the request that will be coming in! Good job!

Edge 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 is it possible to just do a logo? Like say I wanted a Coyote logo and my number on each holder? What would that run me?
mew1838 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 is it possible to just do a logo? Like say I wanted a Coyote logo and my number on each holder? What would that run me? I don't think there would be enough space on the holder to do a logo unless its the other side, the one facing inward.
tguidon 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 hockeyshmockey10 here's another idea. Sell kits with the paint, container to dye it, instructions, and possibly tools. This way if they don't want new holders or don't feel comfortable shipping their skates to you they can get a kit and do it at home. Also if there's left over material they coud do it on other skates or if they get new holders. Maybe make it have enough dye for 3 pairs of skates or something. I think I would rather do a kit since I don't want new holders and don't wanna ship my skates since I need them.

killthepoodle 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 Go incorporate right now, build a website and start doing this. I would definately get a set done (next new pair of skates). If the MSH'ers start doing it, people will ask where it came from, we will tell them, etcThe only holdup is for most folks it would only be when they get new skates. That might limit your business. You could market yourself at teams though.............that would be great, get the equipment managers to send you sets during the preseason once they know what guys are wearing, plus spares. Some programs are waaayyyyy into appearance (Oregon) and if their program really generates revenue it would be a drop in the bucket for them. If you could get a pro team........that would be the meal ticket! You've got some skills there, I recommend running with it!Be prepared for someone to do the same thing if yours takes off, so be looking ahead, at what you can stay ahead of the game wih......
