Post em! We all saw the strong and weak teams after the lockout, now which team looked promising this year to win it all next year? I'm going with the Chicago Blackhawks just because nobody else on the site will say chicago (terrible). lol. Seriously though, detroit looks good.

My darkhouse team to win it all is Florida.

As far as making the playoffs goes, watch out for Columbus.

Really hard to tell right now because we haven't had the draft or free agency but both of the teams above had great runs last year and were riddled by injuries.

I'm not even going to guess until after free agency and the trades expected around the draft.

Roli- 1 playoff round wonder, just like Giguere.

Carolina- Won't repeat. One of the reasons the NHL wanted a salary cap so badly was to create parity in the league. They don't want teams repeating year after year.

Because I'm a fan- I'm going with Detroit, with Roberto Luongo between the Pipes, and (pure dream) Yzerman back for 1 more season.

For those asking- Detroit trades Robert Lang, and Jimmy Howard to Florida for Luongo. - Should happen within the next month or so.

I feel a miracle will happen and the leafs will take it!!!

That's going to take more than a miracle...

Hopefully the Bruins can put a nice team together during the offseason and make a playoff run next year... well its good to have dreams

The goalie movement will determine who wins the cup, whether it be Anaheim and San Jose adding skaters or Detroit and Vancouver adding a goalie.

I can't see Detroit getting Luongo for that when LA has apperantly already offered a better package (Frolov, Brown, Garon/13th pick overall)

LA's package is amazing but without Luongo I fear Florida will be just another team that needs goaltending. Obviously, it is better to get three players and a pick for him than nothing but you have to consider what it means when teams are sacrificing so much for him.

Anaheim Ducks, if not this year it will be soon, they probably have the best line of prospects and up and coming stars.

Ring wing is stacked, not sure about the other positions. They need to get another top defenceman out of one of their goalies and maybe add some forward depth. I doubt McDonald and Selanne are performing at their current level by the time Getzlaf, Perry, etc. translate into bonafide superstars as well. Also, for how many years have teams with great prospects been poised to take the next step? Then again, Anaheim is more of a natural progression team than one built with first rounders. No way is having so many great picks a negative.

I wouls like to see Montreal taking it, I would not be surprise to see Lang in a MTL jerseys next year.

Like McCabe24 said, watch out for COLOMBUS.

Robert Lang? I can't see him being traded unless the Wings get a goalie.

nah- Lang is all but gone, Makes more money than he should, DET wants to get the younger players more involved.

Holland has said he's focusing on Shanahan, Lidstrom and wantes to see where Yzerman is at before he makes any decisions.
