Anyone remember like four years ago when HockeyGiant was reported to the BBB and they offered gift certificates to everyone who had had issues with them? The funny part about it was that they screwed me out of mine. Great business.

I've never had a problem with them replacing anything under warranty. Then again we always had on-site service.

That's not what the BBB thinks of them, it's a statistical accountance of the amount of reports they've received -- much like EBays rating system. It's not what EBay thinks of them.

Yeah, apple showed its signs of issues when they switched to Intel processors, and magically gained a very large amount of performance.

And they don't have a reasonable computer for about 1.5k-2k.

However, I'll pay whatever Apple wants for their iPod. Though, my first one died 10 days out of warrenty, two weeks later, I got a nice video iPod.

I have an intel iMac and and a macbook and do not have this problem. It sounds like a video card problem, not a processor problem. The only thing is that the macbook uses a different video card (uses onboard memory), so I dont know about that. So some iMacs have problems, wow, this is groundbreaking. Think about how many iMacs were sold, now think about how many people have reported having this problem. Sites like this blow things out of proportion, which is a GOOD thing. If my macbook had this problem, I would be mad as hell. Computers (especially first run) have problems. Apple has such a tight knit community and such a limited product line that when somethign goes wrong, everybody hears about it.

Sorry, I should have specified, without the tower system built into the monitor. So you can, you know, upgrade. And for 2k what kind of graphics card do you get? Surely not something even as slow as my X850XTPE.

you can upgrade an imac? It comes with an ATI Radeon X1600/256MB VRAM. If your talking about a standalone headless computer, such as the powermac, they do start at 2k, and they are great machines. They still run IBM PowerPC chips, the next generation, running intel chips will be released the first week in August.
