Baking Mission Gloves

Recommended Posts

I just got some pro stock HE750's from Hockey monkey and they are stiff as can be, how long should they be baked, also they are nylon not leather I dont know if that matters. They would be being baked in a skate oven I presume also, thanks.

WTF?

Baking gloves?

Edit:

I guess it makes SOME sense, but I would just use a heat gun or hair-dryer.. I wouldn't want to chance the nylon melting.

some people do it to break in their gloves rather then breaking them in naturally by playin with them.

If it helps, just wear them around the house. And at night, before you go to bed, put them on a chair handle so they stay in an open position. That's what I did for my He750's, and now they're just fine.

If I remember correctly, it may have been whbd18 that said something about it, and it was only 3 minutes baking time.

Here we go.

You could try preheating your oven to 175 degrees:

Then use a cookie/baking sheet.

Then put a damp dish towel on the baking sheet and then put your gloves on the baking sheet into the oven for a minute or two untill they are are heated abit.

You can go longer than that...I put my goalie gloves in the oven for 15 minutes...

I would say 7 minutes are so and you will be fine..

Sounds pretty sweet. By any chance does anyone know what to do in this regard to CCM Pro Tack gloves? I have a pair and the fingers don't feel so great, so I'd like to make them comfey. :) Thanks much.

Sorry Justin, just how I saw it. I didn't even think of it as R&D.

I remember the last time the show was in Toronto, Hespeler baked one glove out of every pair they had on display and the difference was amazing.
