i had a Nike Dri-Fit but lost it so replaced it with an Adidas one...seems a bit hotter and less breathable.

they all work the same IMO, i just think Nike is a little more stylish for hockey. I like the traditional longsleeve loose fit drifit ones the best. I also like Easton bio-dri....undershirts and they have a jersey which is great. For practicing i'd highly reccomend getting a bio-dri jersey.

They're both overpriced.

I agree..they're all overpriced. Have a Dri-Fit. It works fine. I also bought a champion one at Target and it works just as well. It also cost $15 US.

I've used tons. UA, Rbk, North Face, Easton.....they all work the same as stuff you find at Wal Mart or Target. Rather save my money.

Absolutely! My wife turned my grey Nike pink.

No doubt. I bought one RBK shirt from a LHS ($20 clearance) then 2 of the Champion Shirts ($12 each) from Target/Walmart (not sure which). The cheaper stuff works just as well and I like the fit better. Besides, saving $8 - $25 per shirt lets you spend more on gear.

I have both Nike and Underarmor. I like the fit of the Nike better.. They are both the same size, but the nike shirt seems to be looser in places I need it to be and the underarmor rubs me wrong..

Ive used all of them UA, nike, rbk, easton, and others. The UA metal is the best ive used. Takes all the sweat off of me and its very light and cool.

I like both UA and Nike but I do actually find UA better (very slightly) to a certain point. Now, past this point, it doesn't matter what the hell you are wearing b/c that shirt is gonna stick to your body like nothing else, and yes, it will get wet like you just went swimming in it. Unless of course, you wear NO shirt at all.

That said, if you want to get down the the nitty gritty, Nike Dri-Fit, UA, RBK PlayDry, whatever - you name it, it's all basically polyester.

I also have this one Fila shirt, made of their Performa fabric (polyester) that I really like the feel of. It's a little heavier, but I think it has a more luxurious feel to it than the others. I'll wear anything though, as long as it's a good deal.

but under armour is a bigger name

UA was probably the first major seller of this type of product and they had the major brand recognition at that time. But since its been out a few years now and everyone is making similar products, UA can't hold nearly the market share that they once did. There are countless people out there who will buy something just because its Nike, far more than there are people who will only buy UA.

UA owns the market for most athletes, at least in the areas that I've seen. I've used most of the stuff and nothing works better for me than puckskin, before that it was WSI.

UA is quite possibly the best marketed product I've seen in years. The amazing thing is they have never bothered to promote their product in any of their commercials. It's almost entirely lifestyle and lemming advertising, and it has worked flawlessly.

I prefer the Nike Dri-Fit to UA, it seems lighter weight and more breathable. Since its introduction UA is still the predominant choice in my area however.
