Sprung Hockey

Recommended Posts

Im not sure if its my current ankle/foot injury or if its the sprungs. But I may be going back to hi-lo. My speed is way down and the mobility I get from the sprung chassis doesn't make up for that. Pushing off backwards is a challenge to say the least. I find myself having major problems pivoting in sprung and standing still alot more often do to balance issues. I pretty much wrote off aluminum chassis but I may be going back...

Seriously, you can't expect all aluminum to perform the same. You broke a set of 6000 Series chassis on a pair of mid-level skates. Note that they were 6000 Series. If you just go help yourself out and get some real aluminum which is at least 7000 Series, you wouldn't be hating aluminum chassis. If you can't find some good E-Frames, I have some. If you don't want them, wait for the Vanguard. Really, you need to get over the fact that you broke a pair of skates that obviously weren't fit for your level of play.

Hi Keith

will the sprungs be available in europe anytime soon? I could think they would be the perfect chssis for me but i sure would like to see them in person before buying.

If they wont be availabe here too soon did anyone from europe (maybe even germany) already buy these? How much did you pay for shipping and customs?

They are worth the gamble. I bought a set last November and really cannot say how much these have improved my game. Your ability to turn, stop and cut is greatly increased among other things. Email/PM Keith and get him to give you a guess-timate on how much shipping etc will be.

Hey Bekster i'm from Germany and I bought them last October.

Shipping was around 15$ I thind und custom was about 10-15 Euro (Note that it was the sell-out model for 60$)

But they are really worth all the money.

Since then 3 others on my team went on to play on Sprungs and absolutely love them.

German fellow here, too. Been skating the close-out model since November now. It was shipped in an envelope that wasn't checked by customs. So it was really affordable.

Just checked my mail before leaving for work and my Sprung frames came today. Man these are a quality item, very nicely made. I can't wait to get them mounted and give them a try. Thanks again Keith.

E-mailed Keith several days ago about the large chassis and when it may come out. He mentioned in an e-mail that the mold has been put on hold. No time frame as of yet.

Done! Finally! One picture for now, there will be more later. It still feels awkward skating, but I should be able to adjust. I feel a bit of wheel slip sometimes, but if I change my stride, it might improve.

Here's one:

Just enough use. One of the inside wear pads has gone all the way through in a little spot, but that's it. They boots themselves are in great condition; I only used them for a season or so, before I put so much strain on my skates, and then I got new skates for Xmas.

Even still, I'm still in the transitioning phase. I had gotten so used to the speed and grip of the Hum'er that even going back to Hi-Lo was difficult for me. I feel the shorter wheelbase on the Sprungs, and the ride is really smooth. If I skate tonight, it will most likely be half Sprung, half Hum'er.

Those RMX's look great. Got my Sprungs the other day and mounted them to my Tacks last night after work but today we have rain and rain in the forcast until Saturday.

Is there anybody in the NY area who can mount Sprungs? I have a request from a customer for help.

If you can and want to mount skates, please post on here, so people can find you.

Rick Henry, who just posted, is in Indiana and will mount frames for anybody in that area. The shorter the ship, the cheaper the mount if you can't do it in your own hood.
