Hey Spree, how's the Large chassis working out for you on those size 9 skates? I've lost the feel to do backward crossovers with the Large chassis, may stick to using the medium chassis.

No issues at all. I might of crossed onto my toes once or twice when I first got them.....ever since......never crossed my mind.

I've always bent my stiff boots, because the break in, if it happens, could take six months of pain instead of ten minutes of brute screwing with the boot. The padded collar on the Torspos is plenty soft and can be bent outward fairly easily, but there is a layer just south, that does flex...some, and can be bent...some. After looking at them the last couple of days and fitting a new pair myself, I suggest heating them in the oven and then pulling the collar outward to widen it. They are Stiff, so you may have to push and pull. You can do this without heating them too. It makes about a half inch difference immediately. And you can wrap something bigger than your ankle in there to form them better. These are normal fitting tactics. Be the boss of your boot!

With that said, I do not find it healthy to have a super tight top two laces on any stiff, constructed boot. You will not be able to lean in without breaking the boot or more likely your foot. You will find that the super stiff side panels leading up to the cuff do not flex out much when they are way tight, bringing up the need for another joint right above the boot top. If the bottom is tight and folded down right from cooking, the bottom laces should hold you in good, while the top two, if looser, allow the boot top to flex out some with the side of your leg, and you can flex forward better too. I have found this true with my 170s, my Vapors, and all other boots that have fit me, that I mounted. However, I don't remember seeing anybody (self included) even lace up the top three holes on their Wicked 1s. The cuff killer can be a problem with soft mushy boots, too. Ankles, ditto.

I wish I could cross over backwards well enough to blame it on equipment when I can't. I can only do it when I am absolutely not thinking about it, and if do think about it, I panic and start swallowing water.

well, with the Large frame, I somehow cant get the backward crossovers right. It feels like the rear wheel is dragging, and it causes my ankles to turn outwards. Nothing wrong with skating forwards or turning while going forward. Its just that going backwards is a little more difficult to get used to.

gone back to the old A6, and its a dream again.

Hi guys,

have new Hyper250Pro/76mm built in the Sprungs the day before yesterday - if i then was skating i have a stopping feeling in tight turns to the right and same in turns from forward on backwards and backwards crossovers.

I take a look on wheels/chassis and seen that the wheels (the front and the two middle) scratching/grinding on the chassis. Just used a grinding tool (like Dremel)and carved these places a little. Now is skating again fantastically!

Sprungs are great!

Frank (best regards from germany)

I just ordered the Sprung Chassis and I have a few questions on what I need. I am figuring I will need Wheels Bearings and Spacers are the obvious, anything else I would need. Also I plan to mount these to a pair of Vapor 10's and I was wondering if I should install a heel lift to keep the balance similar to that of being on the ice. Thanks in advance.

shute, what happened to your vibes??? ;)

if you have gotten the latest versions, they should be pretty solid that you wont need any extra hardware (touch wood, spin three times).

If you really need anything, it would be more likely extra rocker arms.

Im mostly an ice player, so the Sprung Chassis has made for a familiar feel on/off the ice.

I bought the Torspo package and liked the Sprungs so much I sent Keith my One90's for a transformation.

They are size 8 on an A6 chassis.

I couldnt wait and had to take them out for a spin with my 7 y.o.

AWESOME

How long do you think/has anyone had the ONE90 boot last on roller? Im thinking about hooking up my sprungs on a ONE90 or ONE75 setup.

LMFAO! For $1300 bucks? High class hookers are cheaper then ONE90's in Melb. Best mate can score them off a contact in LA for $450, in the country.

A8 large will mount fine, but with some extended overhang. I have them on my 9E's and they work out fine on my 7K's. Your choice though.....you could also go with the A8 mediums when they do come out.

I have a pair of 9.5s and they are better with the A8 and there is not so much wheel sticking out as you would think. They are the same as 10 Bauers, which are all over the place with A8s.

With the A8 sprungs runnning the all 80mm wheel setup do you have to carve out any of the boot to prevent rubbing? Would you have to carve out any of a NBH Vapor boot for it to fit? Or is it pretty much good to go?

No modification to the boot needed on dremmeling or carving out. The chassis itself caters for that... all you need to do is mount the chassis frame on, and you're done.

So if I'm reading this right the one90's don't last very long on roller? I was just wondering, because I had planned on maybe investing in a pair and putting some sprungs on them. Does the Vapor boot hold up better?

There is currently no sprung that fits a size 6.5 skate? Will the medium fit when it comes out?

The A6 fits a 6.5 just fine. There are probably several posts with 6 and 6.5 boots.
