Hi keith,

today my second time on sprungs (RbK 9k) and i will say WOW!! - great job, i think the tightest turns i've ever skatet. Little problems while turning to backwards skating, i think it will comes in a few times better.

best regards from germany

Pivoting and skating backwards were the weirdest parts for me when I was starting to use the sprungs. I got used to it fairly quickly though.

Interesting. Honestly, I felt more comfortable on the Sprungs from the instant I set foot on the surface compared to my Tour Code 1's. I think that most of it though was the pitch of the skate with Sprungs. Code 1's always felt on my heels, and I skate in RBK 7K's for ice. So I took a pair of 7K ice boots, had Keith slap on my A8's, and it felt smooth and with a perfect pitch from the get go.

Are the front and back rocker arms different sizes?
Rockers are interchangeable, I guess its also easier from a manufacturing point of view to have same parts used.

The red "spring" as a flat side. Does the flat side of the spring face up or down?

face up... Will be difficult to install the other way round.

The nut for the pivot pin has a "lip" on it. Is it safe to assume that the lip is designed to fit inside of the hole in the frame, rather than facing out?

Lip should fit inside the hole, as it provides an additional positive way to locate the pin.

When "attempting" to reassemble, I noticed some don't fit together. Once I had them all matched up, I had 2 pairs that were bigger than the other 3 pair. So I assume the bigger ones are for the front or back.

Possibly you got some A8 rocker arms instead. You can contact Keith to get the definite answer.

Thanks.

I definitely have two different size rocker arms AND two different springs. Small springs will not fit into the big arms but the big springs will fit the small arms. I think I may have gotten some A8 arms mixed into my A6 frames. The frames are definitely A6 Mediums.

I figured all A6 springs and rocker arms should be interchangeable since the Sprung website only has one p/n for the spring and one for the arm. That is why I paid little attention to it while disassembling.

I did email Keith.

I dont have the A8, but i assume they would be slightly different. Keith also mentioned that the previous previous batch of arms may not fit on the newer designed ones due to the bulked up design. Dont quote me, just that my brain somehow remembered that being discussed.

Sprungs are great... i just had mine removed from my old Nike Quest 1s, and put on my current 1200c.

Is international shipping of the A6 frame currently suspended? I was hoping to order a pair but there's no link for international shipping on the Buy page of the Sprung site, only US & Canada for the A6 and global for the A8.

Since they changed the rates again, we had to look at the options. So First Class mail is much less money and faster than Priority mail to Europe, and the original $18 shipping will be back up along with the Torspo 221 package deal.

Thank you for letting me know, I thought it would be something like that as it was mentioned a few pages back about shipping rates changing.

Black rockers look great. The only thing is that the frame needs to be grey/silver. ;) I just wish that the Shift 2's looked as good as the Shift 1's. Dissapointing.

Wow those sprung Kor's look great! Yeah, sliver main with black arms would look sick on those. Is it me or do the side quaters of the skate cover a lot of the toe cap?

i'd be happy to see a picture of that shift 2/sprungs with the laces in the shoes because like that the shoe just seems to be sooooooooo big and as i think pretty ugly.. thanks

Just got these back and can't wait to skate on them. I got the Tacks from HG for $159. I forgot how comfortable those skates are. I have Black/Silver 78A Hornets coming this week, which will replace the current wheel. The Phantoms were $12 for all eight with bearings and were thrown on the HG order to get to the $199 for free shipping.

Hey Keith,

I recently broke the last of the replacement pins you had sent me for my sprungs. I was wondering if I could get a few more of those. Thanks in advance

I just got your paypal thing for a set of axles. And I'm waiting on Davis's address so I don't have to go way back for it. He has Grrreaaaat Whiiiitssss!!! And they fit me and I sent them to him anyway.

I was at the WIHA finals in Corona. Right now I'm sitting patiently while my new Torspo 221's cool on my feet. In case you're wondering, they still have their very pretty chrome ice holders on, and I'm going to wear them, as is, for my first time on ice ever in the whole world. I only have to find out how to get time on a rink with my gloves and stick and a puck and all my padding. Will my roller puck work on ice? Will my butt eat some ice?? We're going to video the whole thing and we'll have the address of the closest ER. How many people out there have had a hockey related ride in an ambulance?? :)
