Hidious 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2006 So I barely touch my computer in the summer and i haven't posted in the forums for a while but i've got something pretty cool to chat about.I live in a small city in Québec called Magog, about an hour and a half from montréal and each summer we have a local hockey event called "A bout de souffle" tournament where pros and amateurs play non-stop hockey to get back in shape for the season. This year's tournament was kind of special because someguy named Sidney Crosby was in. His team (a team has 6 players and a goalie) was by far the best with guys like Patrice Bergeron, Yanic Perrault, Francis Bouillon, Daniel Corso, Mathieu Garon. Other pros were Stéphane Robidas, Jocelyn Thibault, Steve Bernier, Marc-André Fleury, Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Pascal Dupuis, Stéphane Veilleux and André Roy (funny guy). I was playing for the Sherbrooke Nordiques. We lost 6-3 agains Alex Bourret, and Mathieu Perreault. We were winning 3-2 after 2 period. Anyways that was fun. Damn, i would have loved to see you in action! You're probably a pretty solid player if you played in the pro's categorie. I was suppose to play in the amateur one in my friend's team but i've got some knee problems. Anyways, they sucked and i would have been no help for them: i doubt i was in shape for this kind of tournament.And cobrAA, why would they do that in Montréal with all the medias and stuff when they can relax and have fun in a small and peaceful city like Magog :lol: It's pretty impressive to see Hummers and neat cars entering the parking lot ... I was playing on tuesday at 5PM and thursday at 6PM and 10PM, the game we lost.Just started to watch pictures: I just saw Alex Bourret, I knew he played some games with the pros but I didn't knew he played in the skills competition too. It's hard to say, he has a great wrister, sees the ice well, handle the puck well, he's 220 and he hits really hard but when we played his team, he was slow and wasn't looking like a first round pick at all. Hidious 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2006 I played against Bourret when i was younger and he gave me a concussion. He'S a good player but he's a lot too slow IMO.Kovy, i could only be there saturday for a couple of games and the skill competition. Unbelievable how hard and precise the shots are. Fleury was kind of pissed of.Sorry for my geocities site. It has a 4.2mb transfer limit per hour so after 3 or 4 people have seen the pick, you gotta wait for the next hour. Can anybody host em?
