You definitely need to see a doctor. Concussion symptoms can range from a few hours to a few weeks; the fact that you are still experiencing a headache and confusion several days later is very worrisome.

Get your head to a doctor AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Don't mess around with this.

Most doctors know nothing about concussions. I had a real bad one and went to the hospital and they just sent me home. There really is no cure other than rest until symptoms go away. However, if you get a few bad ones like I have, symptoms can come out the blue or during physical activity or a light bump. It sucks.

I happen to be one son and I happen to know alot about concussions.

The reason the doctors sent you home is that there is nothing really that we can do, other than wait it out.

Unless there is internal bleeding or swelling then that can be very serious.

Doctors actually know everything about concussions. You don't want to f around with a head injury. Go to the doctor, and make sure you get clearance from a doctor before you play again. I have had 2 concussions so I know a little bit about it. My doctor told me if you don't give yourself time to heal after a concussion and you take another blow to the head, you can turn a minor problem into a hudge problem that can affect you for the rest of your life. Go to the doctor. Good luck.

You are correct, never particapate in any pyshical activity if you have a concussion or if there is even a slight chance you have one, Allways consult a doctor. Repeated injury to the brain can lead to swelling, and sometimes people developing long-term disabilities, or even death as a result of serious head injuries. So these things are not something to take lightly. Another problem with not going to the doctor is that when you do have a concussion you should be awakened atleast once every night. If there are any problems like being hard to wake up, vomiting etc it could be signs of a much more serious injury.

By no means am I a doctor, but I do no a fair bit about concussions. With any medical issue it is allways smartest to go to a doctor instead of asking questions on a message board no matter how smart we are :D .

No doubt about it, you have a concussion and it sounds like a serious one. You NEED to see a doctor ASAP.

Go to the Doc. I had a concussion that has knocked me out of school and hockey since last October. I also wont be able to attend school or play hockey this year either due to the concussion. Dont mess around with head injurys. Be safe.

Go to a doctor. If the rest of your daily activities are as messed up as your typing, you are obviously still being affected by the hit.

Sorry sniper14/peter/roostingmx, you're NOT a doctor.

But I'll bet he stayed in a Holiday Inn last nite...

Sorry to jack in on this thread, but I just couldnt resist.

Like everyone else has said - GET TO A DOC!!! Trying to play with a concussion or post-concussion syndrome can lead to bigger problems. Your squash is a pretty important part of your body, and if it is injured and isn't allowed to heal properly you can have larger issues down the road.

Does a concussion include a huge pain in the neck? I can hardly move my head to my left side and look up.

Last time I was knocked loopy, there were a couple bones in my neck that were knocked slightly out of alignment. While I did miss a couple games as a result of the concussion, I was able to play through the neck pain - though not comfortably. It took a couple weeks for the pain to subside completely - with regular chiropractic care - and I still can't quite turn my head as far to the right as I can to the left (barely noticable, though).

Sounds like you might be dealing with the same sort of thing - possibly more severe. I'm assuming that you don't see a/your chiropractor on a regular basis; you might want to start.
